I didn't love it, nor did I hate it. There were some profound things written and the writing is great, but parts of it just somehow fell apart for me. Excited to talk with my book club about it!

My second Nora this summer! This was a really, well-balanced romantic thriller. Proof that even in her most recent novel, Nora's still got it!

I wasn't going to give this book a full 5 stars, but then i realized that it's a story that I am going to have a hard time ever forgetting. I have never really been affected by a book so much - it's incredibly emotional for most people, but for personal reasons, it packs an even bigger punch for me and just tore me apart. Highly recommended, but be ready.

Not my favorite in this series, but I did love this section where they went to a recording of "Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me" and really glad that I actually know and understand what that means- oh Peter Sagal ?

A lovely story that I thought of as more of fan-fiction, but it's so great to be in the wizarding world of Harry Potter again! ❤️ there were definitely a few emotional moments in there that I think if I would see the play, would easily make me cry!

Just finished the terrifying part of Act 3, but there were some really sweet moments as well! #hplove #always

This novel really grew on me. The humor is very teenage boy, which got tiring. But I liked it overall! Next up is Bad Feminist!

So much cute!! But also bits of it made my heart hurt. Stephanie Perkins knows how to give you the feels!

Pretty excited to read this! But man, this sure does look like a library book from 15 years ago...and until I took this photo, I never noticed the shadow on there- creepy!

This was not her best by any means, and I didn't really love either of the MC's, but it was still fun and a little suspenseful. The setting of Madagascar was done very well and make me want to travel there sooner rather than later!

Despite it being unnecessarily long, I am really enjoying this!

When I say so-so, I don't mean any shade. I got exactly what I expect from a MHC read, which is something easy with a bit of suspense that works really well as an audiobook.

This really is a good story and I think most people will like it. It's heavy and emotional and will probably make you cry, but I would recommend it!

The premise of this novel is intriguing and I think I had too high of expectations. It alternates chapters between details of the reality show and Zoo's wanderings post-pandemic, which she thinks is all part of the show. Zoo's part was too boring and unbelievable to me. A slower read and "just ok".

Feeling the pressure to love this and nervous I won't! Everyone I know has given it 5 stars!

MHC books are always easy audio reads!

Love getting an ARC of one of my fav romance author's books! I really loved the relationship between the hero and heroine in this one and it was as funny as ever. There's something about her newer novels that are missing something or are a little clumsy, compared to her past ones. Still love it!

I can understand why this had a low rating, but not necessarily so low. It's absolutely a debut, as one can see with the not-stellar writing that tries too hard. But the real problem is the implausible plot and extremely unlikable, yet boring MC. Somehow it still compelled me enough to finish.

This one worked pretty good in audio and it was a sweet and enlightening memoir and look into the world of octopuses. Also the aquarium it was set at is the New England Aquarium, which I haven't been to in awhile. Makes me want to go see the Octopus there now!

Are we actually supposed to like this MC in any way? Because I don't. "The only time Id ever wanted to lose weight, I'd simply stopped eating for a week. That seemed to work fine."

SPOILER. Ugh snobby much? "It occurred to me that one feels less guilty about murdering a man who reads Jeffrey Archer for pleasure"

Phenomenal and highly recommended! Loved the plot structure and the writing and everything about it!

Nowhere near as good as The Infernal Devices which I absolutely loved, but still entertaining and in a world that I enjoy. I went out right away to grab the next one, which says something- but I think it mostly says I'm anxious to get to the part where it's no longer an incestuous story 😳

Book club books for this month (missing: Just Take My Heart by Mary Higgins Clark which I'm listening to on audio). Next up is Maestra which I'm less than enthused to read after seeing it's Goodreads rating, yikes!

I posted earlier how this book was just "meh" and after finishing I still think so. This focused too much on the romance (I know, I can't believe I'm saying that) and frankly the romance was a little creepy. It needed to be fleshed out more. Probably won't read the sequel.

At first I liked the idea of this book because as a Midwesterner I'm sometimes too nice and need to learn to say "no". But the more I got into this book, I realized that she is just advocating for us all to turn into negative assholes and I don't want to live in a world like that. So nope!

Love reading (or listening to) tales of our fascinating worlds: Octopuses (not octopi) are freaking awesome and so smart. Who knew? #hoopla #audiobook

Hmmm not sure what to think about this so far. Pretty meh. It won't put me off reading more from her though because the writing seems pretty good and people rave about her "Raven cycle" books!

This novel was just so cute and fun! It's a very quick read, and you can't help but root for all of the characters (especially Simon) to get their happy ending.

I need to get my own copy of this!! I already wanted to go everywhere but while reading this, I find places like Equatorial Guinea that I want to put on my "visit sooner rather than later" list - so random and I love it ?

Only about 60 pages in and already know that this book is going to be fantastic and quite powerful - so far, deserving of all the hype!
