Fourteen million dollars in a burned suitcase. Severed body parts of a dead man in a duffel bag. Two hired killers. A drug dealer. Two organized crime kingpins; all chasing two white trash kids from New York down to the deep south as they head for what they think will be safety in Mexico. Put the story together and you have one hell of a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde.

I LOVE this author and all of her books. Always well-written and you can't put them down once you start reading. She has some new ones on preorder for one of her many award-winning book series. She has several. Great reads and never disappoint. I highly recommend this author and her books. I own almost all of them.

This looks good. On my Tbr list. Back in 1930 the Army did an exploratory survey of that area. What we came up with was that there was a section of the Rocky Mountains missing. Looked at from the top of Mount Washburn it was easy for the team to see that the largest crater of an extinct volcano known to exist lay before them.
Very well-written and powerful book. Thought-provoking as well. Highly recommend. I am going to put a little of the blurb below.
A story submerged in guilt; the struggle to survive, and the idea that hope is always within reach. Four young men and a single father deal with the vicious assault of one of their own. Survival, hope, and each other are all they can rely on in, Carson Promise.

I never recognized warning signs - even though they were right there in my face. Now, I am married to what I like to call, “Chance the Disaster.“ A cold-hearted, self-centered, narcissistic control freak. I am waiting for my knight in shining cowboy to come rescue me..

A heartwarming story for all ages.
Award winning first book to a brand new Dragon Rider series
The night when the rogue knights killed my family and torched our town, I fled. I scrambled up the Spires of Dasny, even though I knew it once was a haven for dragons and the old Dragon Riders School. The ground thundered. I trembled in the small niche tucked into the mountain. Had the knights returned? I caught my breath as an enormous green eye peered in. A dragon!

This was a pretty good book.
Valentine is a haunting exploration of the intersections of violence and race, class and region in a story that plumbs the depths of darkness and fear, yet offers a window into beauty and hope. Told through the alternating points of view of indelible characters who burrow deep in the reader‘s heart, this fierce, unflinching, and surprisingly tender novel illuminates women‘s strength. Highly recommend!
