This book could've been so much better but it wasn't bad even as it was. The meeting between the characters (chap 1) reminded me so much of Shatter Me. Anyone? The main character was all talk for the most part of the book. I wasn't delivered the badass assassin I was promised. Dorian was a really interesting and loveable character and his guard Chaol went from deeply irritating to actually acceptable. I'll probably continue but I'm not in a rush.

There was a description here that almost caused me an anxiety attack. Oh my. I feel sick.

Thinking about starting this one, but I'm not sure. Something seems to be holding me back. Maybe it's the vampires, thing I'm not too excited to read about.

A little confession that might sound unbelievable but it shouldn't: Twilight is the only vampire series I can tolerate. #vampires #vampireacademy #twilight

Pickpick

The mysteries, although easily solvable for me, were very enjoyable. Both main characters are really likable and the main reason these books are so famous now.

As everyone must probably know already, there is a ending to this book that left many readers back in the day shocked and angry at the author. I understand them now! I think I'd have the same reaction if I did not know there is more to it :)

PS: That's the bookmark I used for this book.
