Amulet, a lovely graphic novel series geared toward a younger audience, but, surprisingly, has some darker tones to the narrative and the artwork. I chose this as my #allagescomic for the #readharderchallenge2017 and am glad to have chosen this series because it's exceeded my expectations; it's fun to read, the artwork is great, and it's really refreshing to see a young, female protagonist's story not bound by a story arc based around romance.
Just finished this book tonight. Using Christopher's mental health state as the primary perspective and focal point allowed me to appreciate the book for more than the literature in itself; the anticipation of what the hell Christopher was going to do or how he was going to react to the world around him kept me going. It's not clear whether Chris is supposed to be a high-functioning, autistic or a savant, but I was intrigued 'til the end.
Next up for the Litsy Reading Challenge 2017: Robert A. Heinlein's "Starship Troopers." This one will satisfy the "Judge by the Cover" category. I've been fascinated with the artwork for years, but never bothered to read it until now!

Next up on my reading list is this book I randomly found at our local Goodwill. There are many sub-genres in electronica that I really enjoy that are mentioned in this book, so I thought it would be interesting to read a book on the history of electronica that also includes the history of hip-hop, downtempo, and post-punk/industrial music.
