I haven't been reading much lately, but I've been thinking of this new collection of Gaiman stories put into a graphic novel. Have you heard of it yet? Also since I have no pictures of book to show, here is a picture of my dogs enjoying the snow storm we are having here in the Inland Northwest.

Finally finished this book after reading it bit by bit for like a year and change. It's a an okay story. It very teen-oriented I feel, so if you're into teen-style language and plot interests, then this is the book for you. I will say the humor is kind of on point, but the teen romance parts and kind of teen drama tied into the "Lord of the Flies" allusions makes it feel like it is for a younger audience than my self. Good easy read.

I read this book because a student was reading it for a book report. I don't think they knew what they were getting into when they chose this book, but I'm glad they picked it because that gave me the motivation to read it. It was really dark in some places, but it was a great story and even though it was fiction, I felt that it was a real story to someone. Every student should read this story and stories like it at some point in school.

I've read this book at least four times and just last night I had to start reading it again with a student who was assigned this book for school (I'm a tutor) and I realized for the first time that Bradbury alludes to his own short story "The Pedestrian". I can't believe I missed it all those other times. Now I am wondering which came first, the book or the short story?

Finally read this book for the first time. I must admit it wasn't what I expected. Of course I knew what it was about, but the style of writing in this book was rough. I also wish it ended differently. I'm not sure how I would have wanted it to end, but I guess I was hoping for some hope. Some of my students are reading this in school and comparing it to politics today and I can't even imagine what it would be like to read this as a teenager.

Discovered the book because it is also a series on Facebook Watch. I'm not sure if I like the show or the book better because they were honestly both kind of cool. This story is an interesting take on cult and offers an interesting point of view from someone who doesn't at all understand the modern world.
