Wonder is a realistic fiction book. It is about August, a ten year old boy who was born with a rare medical facial deformity. August is entering a school for the first time and is struggling between who his friends really are. It is such a sad book but I loved reading it. Couldn't put the book down. I found a link that has discussion questions that teachers can ask their students. http://rjpalacio.com/for-teachers.html

DrSpalding Excellent idea Rana to use the author's site. There is no one better than the author themselves to provide ideas as to how to incorporate their book in your classroom. 7y

Rumpelstilskin is a Traditional Literature (folktale) book. This book won the Caldecott honor book which means it won best for the illustrations. The illustrations of the book is very nice. This story is about a poor girl who is suppose to spin straw to gold for the king even though she doesn't know how to. I found a link that has this book into a short story. http://www.eastoftheweb.com/short-stories/UBooks/Rum.shtml #ucflae3414sp17

NicoleMaltby I love rumplestilskin! I actually have never read the book (I definitely need too) but I watch this televison show that incorporates many children fairytales and that is how I learned about him! Thank you for posting this! 7y
