This book is a AF by Eric Carle. I love the illustrations in this book, children will really enjoy the colors. This is also a great book to integrate science with for younger children by introducing the butterfly life cycle. This book is a AF book by Jane Yolen! I love the "how do dinosaurs" series and young children would enjoy them too! There was an old lady who swallowed a fly is a TL by Lucille Colandro. I absolutely love this book! It's fun and playful! Children will love hearing everything that the old lady swallows! Monkey Not Ready for Kindergarten is a AF by Marc Brown. This is a great book for young children with the kindergarten jitters. I'm New Here is a RF by Anne Sibley O'Brien. It's about three children, a Guatemalan, a Korean and Somalian and there struggles of entering a American school. "Our Great Big Backyard" is a RF writing by former First Lady Laura Bush. The book is about a young girl who was ready to spend her summer starring at a screen until her parents changed those plans.
