Sword of Destiny | Andrzej Sapkowski

Sword of destiny is another collection of short stories, following Geralts adventures and meeting his destiny!

My favourite story is The Sword Of Destiny when Geralt meets Ciri, his child of destiny .

The relationship between Geralt and Ciri is heart-warming and loved how this was portrayed. Ciri loves geralt as a father. She trusts him implicitly and knows that he will do anything he can to protect her.

Geralt is merciless assassin who‘s targets are the multifarious monsters and vile fiends that ravage the land and attack the innocent. He wanders the country continuously seeking new assignments.
All the stories in the book are real page-turners. They are all different, the plots are easy to follow which keep the readers engaged.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this introduction to the Witcher. Really looking forward to starting the second one.

Not a romance fan, but what a charming read this was. It gave me goosebumps and made my tummy do flips. I would love to live in the shoes of Emily in one day finding that right person.

I am definitely not the one for romantic reads, however this is a fantastic page turner. I love how Holly never sticks to the conventional soppy teen romance cliches. It shows that love isn't the typical romance we all hope for. I can‘t deny that I really was hoping for a happy ending, but can completely understand why it ended the way it did. I really let myself fall for Harry, a funny, cheeky, charming character, that most girls would go for.

Hello Now | Jenny Valentine

This book is one of a kind. Like nothing I‘ve read before. The story is told through the eyes of a teenager who doesn‘t believe in love until one day they do. this is an original story that traverses time and logic and possibility. Valentine didn‘t pin Jude down as a male or female, boy or girl. Jude is just Jude. In this respect, reading This book creates different perspectives depending on who the reader is and how they interpret the character.

Gaiman covers all the main stories in an engaging way! He has also added a glossary which I found very helpful.

By far one of the best books I‘ve read. It has the perfect mix of romance, drama, suspense and mystery. I love how the book is written from each of the 4 high schoolers perspective. Bronwyn and Nates relationship was so pure, and they were two of my favourite characters. A well executed book, that I just couldn‘t put down, waiting to see what happened next.
This book is definitely a must read.

A gripping novel based on real experiences, illustrating the desperate circumstances that can force one to flee their country and put themselves at the mercy of strangers - some kind, some cruel. A powerful story that takes us on an emotional, breathtaking journey to safety.

A fantastic book for Y6 pupils and adults.

Having read the 3 books before, which were absolutely fantastic. Action packed and page turning which meant that I couldn‘t put the book down! I am sorry to say that I‘m rather disappointed with a Court of Frost and Starlight. I found it very difficult to stay engaged and found that nothing really happened. I would say this book is a filler and don‘t have to read it.

As always Sarah J Maas has once again created a masterpiece. The way she builds a beautiful world is absolutely amazing. I found that this book was less about character development and more about the war against Hybern. I just couldn‘t put the book down.

The book is packed with action from the very beginning. The imagery created is vivid - you feel like you are living this story and you just don't want to come back from it.

A Court of Mist and Fury | Sarah J. Maas

OMG! I don‘t know where to start. This book is AMAZING. I thought I felt it all with A court of thorns and roses, but this just took me to a whole other level.

Sarah J Maas is brilliant at drawing you in.
I loved the development of relationships in this book. . I just could not put it down.

This is an absolutely breathtaking to an already epic tale.

DuchessMerry I‘m rereading this entire series and I just finished it 3y
Mistry26 @DuchessMerry Awh how did you find them? Also what did you think to frost and starlight? 3y
DuchessMerry @Mistry26 I feel like it was a way to bridge the gap from Feyre and Rhys but also not necessary. I think A Court of Silver Flames could have added pieces of this and been fine 3y

The book is action packed from the very beginning. Sarah J. Maas is an absolutely talented writer. The plots, settings and how she so effectively gives each character a distinct, infectious personality of their own is magnificent.
This book is woven so that you are anticipating the almost very visible action on every page. It is so perfectly immersive that you feel, see, smell, hear what the characters go through.

Misery | Stephen King
Pickpick

A suspenseful engrossing novel by Stephen King that kept me guessing until the end. There is nothing supernatural. It is simply about the darkest and most nightmarish aspects of the human constitution. It's a very closely centred novel, focusing nearly entirely on one room of a house and two characters, yet the undeniable malice lurking behind even the most innocuous of pages ensures that it never becomes tedious or boring.

The Gilded Ones | Namina Forna
Pickpick

What a FANTASTIC read! The Gilded Ones is bold, powerful and utterly gripping. The world that Namina Forna has created is so deeply compelling! It‘s a book that comes alive in your mind, and when reading it I could feel the sadness, heartache, joy, pride felt by the characters! A definite page Turner.
