This novel that has recently won the 2018 National Indie Excellence Award for Contemporary Novel tells an incredible story of a mother struggling between doing what she feels right or being a good mother to her daughter. While focusing on the relationships between mothers and daughters, author Herta Feely also touches on the impact social media now has on society and how dangerous it can truly be, especially when in the wrong hands.

I‘ve always been a big fan of Easton Royal, and I was overly excited when I found out he was going to get his own story. I know he is capable of growing up so it‘s wonderful to see how it truly happens. Ready for Cracked Kingdom!!!

This book was a bit of a slow read, but it did pick up towards the end. The ending was inspiring leaving the reader wanting more. I can‘t wait to read War Storm, the last book of the Red Queen series!

I finally finished it last night. Took me forever to finish because it lagged a bit in the middle of the plot, but it had an intriguing ending! What happens to Mare? I need answers and can‘t wait to start the next book. Won‘t be prepared to wait for the following book to be released though.

I had to read this for a class, and it was a wonderful story about self discovery and finding the strength to make choices for yourself. People have their own myths that make up who they are as a person, and this story is a great example of that.
