Just finished this one. 3/5 stars. An interesting, albeit predictable adventure in the last 1/3 of the book, but the first 2/3 were so boring it hardly makes it worth it. The protagonist was unlikable, and I think it would have been much more interesting with better character development. Full and cliched.

This series keeps getting better and better. There were fewer instances where you could tell Maas was writing quickly for a deadline and more sections of really beautiful prose. The characters gained complexity and depth. The twist at the end was somewhat anticipated, but still a good one. Overall I think it‘s building to a really good conclusion and I hope it doesn‘t let me down in the end.
