Only have a few more pages left of this one. I will be so happy when it is done.
I've been really enjoying the Indiana based novels as a form of fun escapism and just a good time. But so far this one has been dragging a bit. I hope the end can still save this book from becoming a so so one 😬

What are some escapism books you'd recommend?

Elif Shafak is publishing a new book this year, and I for one couldn't be more excited.

I simply adored 10 Minutes and 38 seconds in this strange world. Reading all works of her is one of my reading goals this year!

What is your favourite Shafak and are you hyped for this one as well?

I'm considering buying Transcendent Kingdom by Yaa Gyasi because I loved Homegoing so much. But is is a little pricy so I was wondering if anyone had read it yet and what your thoughts were.

Nute I picked it up immediately because of the love for Homegoing. I haven‘t read it yet, but the reviews seems very favorable. 3y

This is a very strong yet delicate novel.
Strong as in how it is told, delicate in its themes. An amazingly gripping novel that will have you thinking about the different conflicts for long after.

This is a book full of heartships and hopes.

I absolutely loved it and it definitely made my favorites list.

One of the more powerful books I have read this past two years.
Told in two parts we follow the life of Tequila Leila and the people she meets along the way.
This book was beautifully written, believable every step of the way and perfectly paced. It was emotional and everything that was meant to hit you in the feels succeeded in doing so.
The characters were all very fleshed out and just feel like people you would meet on the street.

I'm a few days late to the party, but I finally figured out my goals for the #AwesomeAugust readathon created by @Andrew65.
I would love to finish reading three books in the time that's left. And these are the ones I'm going for right now though that might change since I'm a moodreader.
This readathon seems like a lot of fun and I'm happy to be able to participate.

I was actually not liking this book right up to the halfway point. It just didn't grip me. And I wasn't all that interested in the stories of these characters we we're following. But then something happend and I actually gasped out loud. That was for me the moment I had been waiting for.
After that I just seemed unable to put it down. I read the second half of the book in one sitting.

It wasn't my favorite but I do recommend it.

cornfedwellread I enjoyed this one. For me, it was the first book in awhile that I really got into, but I tend to like the "nothing really happens but we're gonna do a lot of character development" books. I'm also a sucker for an unusual narrator. But I can definitely see how this one wouldn't be for everyone. 4y

Hi there. I need some help with picking my next read. I am desperately wanting to read a book by Erin Morgenstern, but they both sound so good I can't decide which to read first.
Any suggestions?

MidnightBookGirl The Night Circus is my all time favorite book (and the audiobook is AMAZING)! But I recently read and loved the Starless Sea too, so there's no wrong book to pick! 4y
ImmaEdeli This helps. I think I might start with The Night Circus then. Thank you 😁 4y
