The red door on the cover drew my attention to this one and I found it so compelling. This is the story of a marriage where both parties have Very Big Secrets that come to light, and they have to learn how to deal with them or lose their marriage. Nothing really groundbreaking here but I was just so drawn to the way the husband, in particular, was so graceful and honest with his wife and family throughout the entire story. #12Booksof2023
MAGICAL REALISM - ROMANCE - CHICK LIT
This book is as sweet as the name Sugarberry Cove with characters that are just as sweet and lovable.
Lovely characters and a setting you would definitely want to visit.
Anyone who needs a light read that will lift your spirits will enjoy this book.
It will also have you take a look at your life choices and know they can always be changed.

pickA Brighter Flame was the Mother‘s Day box from OUABC and I‘m very glad I purchased it. This book was so beautiful and had such a beautiful meaning. I wish I would have read it sooner. Also, the gifts in this box were so amazing! I‘m so addicted to my OUABC boxes I don‘t think I could ever get rid of the subscription!

pick8-23-23: My 81st finished book of 2023! I‘m a big fan of yoga so this book called to me. Lee and her husband, Alan, own a yoga studio in Silver Lake, a suburb of LA. Katherine, Imani, Graciela and Stephanie are students. Katherine, a masseuse with a past, Imani, an actress who suffered a great loss, Stephanie, whose having problems with a script and Graciela, a dancer with an injury. They all forge a friendship at the studio with Lee.
pickHoney Drop Dead is a SWEET addition! The characters are genuine. The mystery is extraordinary. The setting is fun and fabulous. This book receives my top rating and has earned a spot on my Best Reads of 2023.

I mulled it over and eventually decided to skip my #aardvark box this month. I already have one of the books on hold and I‘m curious about Mister Magic but would rather borrow it unless I see amazing reviews rolling in, then I‘ll throw a copy in next month‘s box. If #botm didn‘t take the entire month to ship to me, I would rejoin this month to nab the Kim and the Cañas.
pickA bit chaotic with the back and forth but it does all pull together in the end, more woven together than anyone could ever think of lifelong childhood friends.
