I loved this book and couldn‘t put it down. It‘s a real life memoir about a young woman named Marjorie and her BFF Marty and the Summer they left Iowa to work at Tiffany together in New York. It had so much nostalgia and it transported you back in time to the mid 1940s. Every chapter ends w/ letters sent home to Marjorie‘s family. When the girls weren‘t working at Tiffany they were out with friends, bfs, and thinking about their future. #tiffany

A library find. Opening up the world of Louis C. Tiffany as seen through a family from his house & garden staff, and daughter Dorothy T. Birmingham. Goes back & forth in time, allowing the reader to witness the lives of the working family & it‘s descendants. Not a flattering view of Tiffany; he comes across as tyrannical & cruel.
enjoying this book; want to learn more.

Just heard these two interesting authors talk!

This novel takes place with Louis Tiffany and his homes in the background. The protagonist is the daughter of Tiffany's gardner and she centers the various character stories swirling throughout this novel. This worked well as a character study, in spite of some unrealistic bits of plot, but the mystery and it's unraveling made things less cohesive, rather than more. #netgalley

My plan for the day: groceries, see nephew, hot bath, read. What actually happened: wild hair, new tree & ornaments, HP, and putting tree up. #tiffany&herbigideas
