Thank you to our lovely #MidwinterSolace hosts for this little envelope of happy that arrived today. My kids are back in school and I can finally take some time to breath into the quiet, so it really was the perfect timing for a beautiful pick me up package. I absolutely love Owls, and Owls in head gear are even better 😊

That's what Libby is for, Flavia. ?

I am very glad that I found this book, as it was beautifully written and the story/stories were very interesting and heartbreaking to read. Books set in WW2 have always been a personal favourite, and I think that the story of Kristoff and Elena was definitely up there. Moreover, the switches between Austria, 1938 and LA, 1989 made for good comparisons.
I would say that it was slightly slow moving, but it was otherwise a beautiful book.

4.25⭐️

There isn't just one ending, one answer, one person who can make us happy, or not. Maybe we can all begin again, become different people.
