Carry On | Rainbow Rowell

There is no greater #spinofflove than #carryon. A book about characters who themselves were originally characters of another fictional character. My word, such machinations.

#backtoreading #anditsaugust Day 18.

Am I nearly caught up?

This is one of those series with a publishing order and a reading order and a timeline order. My first year as a children's librarian Book 1 Beyond the deep woods (pub order) came out. It had a cutesy cover but kids couldn't keep their hands off them. The new covers are awesome and a great way to introduce the books to a new generation. As long as you read each trilogy in order, I do believe you can read the sub series in any order. #backtoreading

InLibrisVeritas Do they still have the illustrations inside? I read the first two when they first came out but never picked up the rest of the series (I was a flighty reader in high school) 7y

Loved Twilight when it came out and was excited for this spin off.

#BackToReading #day18 #SpinOffLove The first spin off series that comes to mind that I love is Gail Carrigers The Finishing School series, which is a spinoff of her Parasol Protectorate series. Both are set in a steampunk Victorian London, both are very witty, extremely snarky & are a fun read when you've had enough of wordy literature.

Jess_Read_This I really enjoyed both of these series as well. 7y
monkeygirlsmama I have the original series, or some of them anyways. Never have gotten around to reading them. I did read the first couple books in the Finishing School series; however, I do still need to buy the last couple. 7y
Balibee146 I love these :-) 7y
Bibliogirl I haven't read the Finishing School series, just the Parasol Protectorate and The Custard Protocol. Great, fun reads. 7y

Not so sure I'm going to have #spinofflove for these HP stories.

There is definitely no #spinofflove for this Harry Potter book. #backtoreading @JoeStalksBeck @Tiffy_Reads

Peddler410 I loved it but I also didn't read it as a book. 7y
Lmstraubie @Peddler410 Did you see the play? 7y
Peddler410 I wish! No, I read the story as a play and did not expect it to be anything like the books. I'm thankful for the opportunity to read the script since I won't get to see it in person in England. I would like to see some parts played out in a novel, but I'm happy with the experience I had. 7y

I adore this mystery series! I feel like Barron captures the spirit of Austen - her wit, her intelligence, and her independence. This is the third book in the series. A nice "spinoff" of the actual Jane and her family. #spinofflove #backtoreading

Ms.Story This sounds like a cosy autumn read! 7y
Librarybelle I think so, @Ms.Story ! 7y
batsy I love it too, and I agree! It feels so Austeny without being contrived. 7y

The Winston Brothers series is a spin-off from Penny Reid's Knitting in the City series. I love these even more.
