Such an awesome book, I hear the tv show is also excellent but this cord cutter doesn't have access to it. Anyway, I clearly remember a really scathing review about this on Goodreads where someone said they couldn't possibly take the author seriously after seeing references to leaves changing colour around Easter. I guess she doesn't understand it's #setinthesouthernhemisphere

#junebookbugs day 27 - #setinthesouthernhemisphere

Was gonna post about this Australian set apocalypse novel on the actual day of the theme, but I left my copy in storage, so I had to wait until I hit up #barnesandnoble .

Playing catch up with my #junebookbugs The House of Spirits is a book that's been on my tbr for a while. I need to read it. A Swiftly Tilting Planet is a book I accidentally stole from the library when I was 13. We were moving half-way across the country and the book accidentally ended up in a box. Oops! #setinthesouthernhemisphere #aplanetinthetitle

I admire Ernest Shackleton's leadership, and it is amazing that even after disaster during his expedition to Antarctica, he was able to bring every member of his team home! It's proof that you can't keep a good #mandown! And I pretty sure this is #setinthesouthernhemisphere 😉! #junetunz #junebookbugs

Suet624 An amazing feat. Loved this book. 7y

This is a pretty popular YA series in #Australia, apparently. I'd never heard of it until an Australian friend recommended them to me. They're pretty good, with an interesting premise. (Teens are out camping in the bush when invaders take over their town, taking everyone captive) #setinthesouthernhemisphere #junebookbugs

HKGirl @SheReadsAndWrites If you can do audio, you should totally do that! The narrator (Australian, of course) is fantastic. 😊 7y
sprainedbrain @HKGirl @SheReadsAndWrites I second that! The audio is fantastic... Caroline Lee is one of my favorite narrators. 😃 7y
JazzFeathers Oh my goodness, l truly truly love that red and grey cover. It's stunning 😍 7y
Centique I loved The Narrow Road so much. Some truly hard parts to read - but WOW. He's an amazing writer. 7y
sprainedbrain @Centique yes! It was a painful book to read, but so very good. 😊 7y
