Decided to combine my Friday‘s haiku with this week‘s #SereneSaturdays prompt about favorite warm drink zen. Give me hot apple cider & other apple tea & coffee drinks as I despise pumpkin spice & of course it‘s everywhere right now. (Although it‘s too muggy today for me to truly crave something warm!)

Even though it's still in the 100s, I'm drinking warm drinks in anticipation of autumn. My three favorite boozy warm drinks are (in order of the pictures above)
•Bailey's and coffee
•Hot buttered rum
•Pepperming Schnapps and cocoa

All fattening, too. I haven't had the rum or cocoa in AGES! Baileys? Quite often, right @TheLudicReader? She had a bottle waiting for me when I visited. 💛🤎🧡

DebinHawaii I 🩷 hot cocoa with peppermint schnapps so much but only when it‘s really cold—so I don‘t drink it much any more! 😉 5d

My hands-down fave indy bookstore: Changing Hands, the midtown Phoenix location. It has its own bar inside the bookstore, hence ... even more zen. 🧡🩶💛

Skygoddess1 I visited this location years ago and really enjoyed it. The bar was definitely a nice place to sit and start reading one of the books I bought. 2w

Powell's Books | Portland, Oregon (Bookstore)

Favorite Zen Bookstore. If you have visited the tagged store you might not think it a place of Zen. It‘s huge and always busy. But once I‘m out of the lobby and am roaming the stacks it is heaven. A couple of hours later I finally find my way back to the front with an arm full of treasures.

kspenmoll I love this shout out! In CT let me add Riverbend bookstore- their main store is in Glastonbury, their smaller store in West Hartford. And yes to every Indio bookstore everywhere! 2w

Amiable @kspenmoll I‘ll have to stop at Riverbend the next time I take my car up to Liberty Mazda in Hartford for service! I usually come home along Route 2 and could stop in Glastonbury. 2w

Practical Magic | Alice Hoffman

Heading into autumn I watch as many autumn Hallmark movies as I can, including rewatches of signed, sealed, delivered. Of course I rewatch practical magic, halloweentown, and hocus pocus. If I really need to zen out I do yoga from videos with Melissa Krieger (I think I spelled it right) from bloom yoga Victoria via YouTube. I also watch crochet tutorials sometimes. And the late show has free segments on there. #serenesaturdays
