Pickpick

I absolutely love this series. Each book gets better and better. I‘m thankful my library is connected with Mobius which shares with other library systems nationwide. This one came from Altoona, the next one is ordered and being shared from Springfield!!! 😊💜💜💜

Andrew65 A great series! 3d
Booknerd2 @Andrew65 I love it!!! I can‘t believe I just discovered it. The good thing is, I get to read a lot of them before having to wait for the next one. I‘m in the US and enjoy these British mystery/suspense series. Any suggestions? 😬 3d
Andrew65 @Booknerd2 I will give it some thought and make some suggestions, which will most probably be many! Love Mystery and Suspense. 3d

BlameJennyJane One of my favorite series! The audiobooks are great too. The same narrator does them all and she‘s become Kim‘s voice to me so I hear her in my head even when I‘m reading the books. (edited) 3d
Booknerd2 @@andrew65 Thank you I would appreciate it. 3d
Booknerd2 @BlameJennyJane I‘ve never tried an audiobook. I‘m not sure I could stay focused. 3d
BlameJennyJane @Booknerd2 you can always give it a try free through your public library so you don‘t have to make the investment. I got hooked on Hoopla. I listen on my commute and when exercising... in other words... when I‘m bored. Lol 3d
Booknerd2 @BlameJennyJane I may just try one, thank you. 2d

Something in the Water: A Novel | Catherine Steadman

I didn‘t guess the ending, but was disappointed. There was a lot left open; a lot of questions left unanswered. I don‘t *need* an author to lay it all out for me with neatly tied bows, but it felt all over the place. Some characters/story lines felt unnecessary. Not as “thrilling” as I anticipated...🤷🏻‍♀️

Pickpick

Cilka's Journey tells a fictional account of Cilka's life and the horrors that women faced at the hands of Soviet soldiers and fellow prisoners after #WW2 ended. A great read if you want to see how women coped from years of living at #concentrationcamps. It really made me uncomfortable with just minor details of violence

Day 17 - #ThoughtYouWouldLikeItButDidnt #GratefulReads #SomethingInTheWater #CatherineSteadman

I found this book to be somewhat predictable. Even the plot was a bit unbelievable. The title is the best part of the book because it creates an interest but I was very disappointed when it wasn't something that would be exciting like a body or something you would expect from a thriller. I guess I should stop there and say that the book was not for me.

@ljuliel Q. Post a book that touched you emotionally. You don‘t need to explain unless you want to.

I'm going to go with a #webcomic for this one. I picked up #HotelPhryne on an impulse but WOW it's such a good #horror read. It's kind of a messed up too, where Doyoung needs to find the “real“ Hyung he likes except, what makes someone real? And how far will the “Fakes“ go in order to survive the game? #boyslove #psychological

ljuliel Thanks very much. That‘s an interesting choice . I‘m not that well versed in those books. If you don‘t mind, I‘m going to post a question for you to answer in a couple minutes. Is it ok ? 1mo
Crimson613 @ljuliel yeah thats fine :) 1mo
ljuliel It‘ll be on here in about 3 minutes. Thanks ! 1mo

#lmpbc @jhod @Cathythoughts @RachelO unfortunately this is only 3 1/2 🌟 from me - I don't think I like unreliable narrators. Will be in post on Monday, and will post my picks for the next round tomorrow as I don't think we're going to get anyone else.
