I'll be giving a talk on Pulp Fiction before this screening of The Thing From Another World. #sciencefiction #pulpfiction #movienight #scifi

Geeklet I love the movies based on that story so much. There‘s supposed to be a full novel coming out soon. I kickstarted it and I hope it‘ll ship soon. 3w
SpaceCowboyBooks @Geeklet Thanks for the tip, hadn't heard about that yet. 3w

Started this one today & I tore through the first 166 pages (#naptimereads). Miller has such an incredible & immersive style, I couldn‘t bear to put it down.

I‘m going to attempt to sneak a few more pages in before the hubs & I [finally!!!] watch Spider-Man: Into The Spider-verse. Nice way to start my weekend! 😉

Aaaaaannnnnd, it‘s time for #MovieNight! 🎞 📽
I just finished reading Ready Player One a couple days ago, and i loved it so much I begged @MrBook to take me to see it this weekend. Yay! 😁
Have you read and watched it? Or are you planning to?
#MoviesBasedOnBooks

GarthRanzz Love the book but have avoided the movie so far. Just can‘t bring myself to go for some reason. 1y
ReadingEnvy I liked it but it doesn't follow the book entirely ... Still a lot of fun. 1y
Soubhiville It is different from the book, but I didn‘t think it detracted from the movie at all. I loved both. 1y

thegirlwiththelibrarybag I skipped the book and went straight for the movie... aside from a shocking underuse of Simon Pegg, I liked it ☺️ 1y
RadicalReader @BookBabe Icee will forever be incredible 1y
bell7 Oh hope you enjoy it! I'd read the book long before the movie so wasn't too clear about what was different, but I thought both were really fun rides. 1y
Bookladylinda Yea! I plan to read up and see the movie. 1y
jlondon1963 Loved both the book and audio version read by Will Wheaton and they did a great job with the movie. 1y
CrowCAH Watched it; never read. Enjoyed the movie! 1y
JamieLou I wanted to read it but was in a slump. We went and watched it anyways and I got so frustrated during the movie, I went and googled the plot summary in the hallway, wandered around and refilled sodas, before coming back the interesting ending. I just couldn‘t handle the pacing. 1y
Amanda.T I loved the book and I‘m looking forward to seeing the movie! 1y

I wanted to watch #Carrie tonight @TricksyTails but my family apparently has crappy taste in movies. "I didn't like it the first time" "Mom, old movies suck" I'll have to watch it alone. Soo......I guess it's a night with Poirot. I'm pretty sure they only agreed because it reminds them of Clue, lol #movienight #booktofilm #Ineedamoviefriend

RainyDayReading I just watched Murder on the Orient Express last night, what did you think? 1y
TricksyTails 😂😂😂 Having recently rewatched Carrie I‘m going to say the opening scene might not be the best for family time! 😳😂 1y
FantasyChick Honestly, @RainyDayReading I found it a little dry. I never read the book (I'm a "movie before book" kind of person ?) and found the ending lacked as well. Whoever played Poirot also drove me nuts...his mouth hardly moved when he spoke and I couldn't stop staring lol ? It wasn't bad....I just don't think it was for me. My bf liked it more than I did ? 1y
RainyDayReading @FantasyChick I can understand that. I enjoyed it well enough but there were definitely a few things that I had issues with that were different from the book. But on the flip side I understand why they changed what they did. Doesn‘t bug me any less though haha. Omg Poirot drove me nuts, mostly with his attitude at times. I think you would enjoy the book more. 1y
