pickWhat. Did. I. Just. Read??? I'm not really even sure what to say about this book. What a crazy, crazy ride. I needed more of a conclusion though. I felt the author left her audience hanging and wondering what happened. Really reminded me of The Strain with a mix of The Walls Around Us. If you enjoy creepy, gruesome, and suspenseful books this one would be for you.

pickI was rereading this since I habe to teach it. I remember reading in German the first time. For me it is still one of the “modern” classics, even though my students think it‘s boring. They don‘t realize we are on the brick of a scenario like the one described in Lord of the Flies.

panI did not enjoy this book it was a very slow read and didn‘t move very far. It is about this kid named Jonathan and he goes to prison and it goes from there. I didn‘t read the whole thing because it didn‘t intrigue me to read anymore.

This book is very interesting and is something students will relate to. It is a tale about misfits and outcasts and many students will relate to this.
