Started #darkmatter last night for my next book club meeting. Only read the first chapter last night but now I know what I‘m doing this weekend! Off to a good start. What‘s everyone else reading this weekend? #myweekendisbooked #lazyreader

GarthRanzz This was a great book. I really enjoyed it. As for this weekend? Dune, A Wizard of Earthsea and 6y

Sunday‘s are meant for fantasies. Transporting myself to the Seven Kingdoms, see you all on Monday 👋🏼 #takemeaway #beenreadingthissincelastyear #lazyreader

Tianarose So good! I have such a love hate relationship with this series! Mostly love. :) May need to reread soon. 6y
Mariposa_Bookworm I started reading after watching the first two episodes with my teacher friends. It‘s so good, but if I read as much as I wanted to nothing would get accomplished! 6y
SandyW @Tianarose I agree, but most of my frustration stems from the fact that Martin never bothered to finish the books. Thankfully, I have HBO and think they're doing a fantastic job! 6y

Transporting myself to another world while we wait for the rain to clear. #booksaremagic #lazyreader

Nute Looks like the best reading spot, if you can see the rain falling out of the window. I love reading on rainy days. 6y

Hard Copy | Emma Lee-Potter

Ebooks definitely have their advantages, but long live the hard copy! What do you prefer reading? Are you surprised that ebook sales are down? Article: ‪https://www.theguardian.com/books/2017/mar/14/ebook-sales-continue-to-fall-nielsen-survey-uk-book-sales?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=This%20Week%20in%20Books&utm_term=BookRiot_ThisWeekInBooks

SarahSaysRead I feel like it probably has more to do with how ridiculously high-priced a lot of ebooks have gotten. 7y
BookHermit The Book Riot podcast featured a great analysis of these stats last week. Prices are too high and, unfortunately, ebooks are very easy to download illegally. I think print and digital each have their place. It's hard to beat the convenience of an ereader for we "promiscuous readers," though. 7y
Ashley_Nicoletto While I love both ebooks and print I think the decline in ebooks has to do with pricing. It's out of control. 7y

merelybookish Could it be a levelling off? After the initial surge in ebooks as novelty? 7y
Ruri_kaichou I am 50/50. I agree with @SarahSaysRead @BookHermit and @Ashley_Nicoletto , pricing is ridiculous especially when it went over $10. Also, I may sound a little uppity, but people want other people to see what they are reading and that they are part of the crowd reading a popular book. It's hard to see what others are reading with a Kindle. 7y
Ruri_kaichou @merelybookish until the publishers back down and cave to lower prices, I don't think it will happen any time soon 😕 7y
BookHermit @Ruri_kaichou Spine Poetry photo challenges are much more challenging without the physical copies 😉 7y
Reecaspieces I read both. Plus I have a nook and a kindle. I find myself planning whether to read a book or an ebook, based on if I am traveling. However, I am sort of an insomniac and I love to read my ereader at night and not get out of bed or disturb hubby with a light. #lazyreader 7y
GypsyKat I prefer a physical book, audio books are my second favorite, and ebooks are in last place. But it's all reading, and it's all wonderful. 💗 7y
Redwritinghood I like and own both, but lately I find ebook prices to be kind of crazy. I've even seen cases where the ebook is priced higher than the print book! Makes no sense and might as well buy the print copy in some cases. 7y
Mc_cart_ny I read both! I tend to buy physical books and check out ebooks - it's a tangible thing, I want to be able to touch and see the books I own. That being said I do buy ebooks, but mostly romances. 7y
Tanner Most of my library book reading is with ebooks. I also like taking my kobo with me when I travel - much easier than packing physical books. However, if I decide I need to own a book, I usually buy the print edition (unless the ebooks is a fantastic deal) - I love the feel and smell of print. 7y
melbeautyandbooks I 100% prefer ebooks. I don't care about owning books and I don't re-read them. I use 2 different libraries for my ebooks so that helps me get them for free. I also travel often for work, so ebooks are much easier for that. 7y

I have not read these books. I'm waiting another month or two until my book club gets to them...😍!!! I had so many words only covers, but I was too lazy to pull them all out 😋#booktober #wordsonlycovers #day3 #lazyreader
