This is the 2nd book in a series and it was just as great. It‘s a cozy historical mystery. But the romance building is so slow! I love it and just want it to go faster!
This was just released in February so who knows how much longer I‘ll have to wait for the next one.
pickI‘m loving this series! Set during WW2, this 4th outing finds Ellie called on to aid Major Ramsey with a series of robberies that may be connected to a bigger German threat. She‘s also decided to investigate shocking allegations that her father may have been a spy. There are also developments on the personal side between Ellie and Ramsey (good and bad) which led to some frustration for me with some choices Ellie made. Great characters, great 🔻

Veronica and Stoker needed some help to find the culprit and the identity of the victim. They might not have been at the height of their game, but it was an entertaining adventure nonetheless.

pickThe newest installment in the adventures of Veronica and Stoker - this one has all the banter and the adventure one expects plus shades of a good Frankensteinesque story. It was a fun read as usual!
pickBetween a pick and a so so . Realised I don‘t normally read her books. However this one got me in at the beginning as Josephine sets sails on the Queen Mary. I travelled on this ship in the 50s as a child. We were on our way from the US to settle in Australia. It was a page turner for a while then it lost me and I struggled to finish it. My friends who are Josephine fans loved it. Say it‘s one of her best. So there you go!
pickI‘ve been AWOL for what feels like forever; very depressed, dealing with hubby‘s medical issues. But reading this really picked me up. I love this series. Great characters, Raybourn‘s always fantastic dialogue, and a fascinating premise kept me hooked. Definitely recommend, even if you haven‘t read the earlier books in the series.
