Here are my #faveaugustreads for #day1 of the #septemberphotochallenge. I've been waiting to post so I could include a link to my July/August Reading Recap: http://wp.me/p1g6Zg-6P

Also included: Before the Fall, Modern Romance, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (which I had more to say about than I anticipated), The Girls, One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories, and Attachments. #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge

RealLifeReading Ah Dark Matter. Keep hearing good stuff about it here on Litsy! 8y

The Help | Kathryn Stockett

My #faveaugustreads The Help was my favorite in part because it's a great book, but also because of #LitsyGoesPostal. Sleeping Giants and Finding Fraser were very different books and I loved them for very different reasons. #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge #day1

BooksForEmpathy How exciting!! 8y

Save Me, Kurt Cobain | Jenny Manzer

My #faveaugustreads. Loved these a lot, and all for different reasons. #somethingforsept @RealLifeReading

RealLifeReading Ok I have no idea what Kill the Boy Band is about but after that title I know I have to go check it out. And also the Kurt Cobain! 8y
OriginalCyn620 @RealLifeReading They're both YA, quick reads, and great depictions of what a teenage girl goes through. Very different from each other, but both are worth the time. 8y

The Weird Sisters | Eleanor Brown

This was my only 5 star rating for August; the other books were all 4s though. I am the oldest of three sisters and we were a big Shakespeare household as well. Lots to relate to! Also, I was reminded of the outdoor lunch scene in the movie Quiz Show where Ralph Fiennes and family play the Shakespeare game. Highly recommend! #faveaugustreads #septphotochallenge #somethingforsept

These were my #faveaugustreads for #Day1 #somethingforsept #septphotochallenge. I loved Monstress and Men Explain Things To Me for their #feminist themes. And Last Days of Night is just great #historicalfiction!

RealLifeReading Yay another one for Monstress! 8y
ReadingEnvy Love the Solnit 😍 8y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @RealLifeReading I read Monstress on Netgalley and promptly bought myself a hard copy! 8y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @ReadingEnvy I loved it as well. Planning to listen again soon! 8y

rubyslippersreads @Bette I don't know what it is, but cephalopods are very fun, and this book makes you want one. 😀🐙💕 8y
Eyelit Can't a girl have both? 😆 8y
rubyslippersreads @Eyelit Absolutely! You need the book to guide you in the care and training of your octopus. 😄 8y
