Squire is a really fun and thoughtful historical fiction adventure inspired by the Ottoman Empire's conquest of Jordan, even if the ending is a bit too pat. The art is great, and I'd gladly read another installment.
The battle continues for the students at Katmere Academy. Grace gets in touch with more of her gargoyle powers, as does her struggle to choose between Jaxon and Hudson to be her mate. Cyrus and his unholy alliance continue to wreak havoc and lives are lost because of it. Really loving this series. #SeriesLove2024 @Andrew65 @TheSpineView
“I may have reached my breaking point. As if trying to graduate from a school for supernaturals isn‘t stressful enough, my relationship status has gone from complicated to a straight-up dumpster fire.
Oh, and the Bloodletter has decided to drop a bomb of epic proportions on us all...”
Tbh, idk how to feel about this book. I didn't realize this would be a book centered on ballet, a topic I really don't like and this book touches on the reasons I don't. The MC was also ok, a very angry black girl who is tired of being ignored and belittled by her white counterparts and white society in general. Still, I was kind of meh about it. I think bc nobody in the book was very likeable I just didn't care abt their fates lol
Considering how fast I was finishing books a few days ago, I can't believe I'm not going this slow 😂 that's fine tho, currently reading both the tagged title and 1000 steps. I should have also already finished batcat since it's short but I keep putting it off. Maybe I'll finish all three by Sunday! There was a snowstorm so I don't plan to go out lol (it's semi-cleared up, but Wed was Bad) #netgalleybacklog
Going to try this one out. Still got a headache. Just took some meds.
Finally getting to this one. Expecting many twists esp by the end. #readingnotreviewing #summerholiday #noschool
WHY did I wait so long to read this?! Girls with swords is one of my favorite things. 😍 My little Tamora Pierce-loving middle school self is infatuated with becoming a knight. I really loved the world these authors created and for the bigger picture they pointed out that is often left out of stories like these.
