I can‘t believe I‘m saying this, but I am starting to have major buyer‘s remorse about signing up for #botm 😫

Minimalgrl 😔 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage I didn‘t stay subscribed for long ... 6y
Lisaw13 A few months ago I used up the rest of my credits and then canceled - just didn't seem worth it anymore. 6y

alisiakae @BarbaraTheBibliophage do you know if there is a way to get a refund for credits unused? 6y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft Don‘t know—I was month-to-month. Someone here will know!! 6y
InLibrisVeritas I only kept mine for about 4 months before I unsubscribed. I wanted to love it but it just didn't work out 6y
Reviewsbylola I would too. I am so glad that I was able to use my credits and cancel. If I had 8 credits I would be pissed!! Are you also accumulating a credit every month? 6y
alisiakae @InLibrisVeritas that‘s how long I have been subscribed. The book selection doesn‘t seem to be meshing with my reading tastes. 6y
ferskner I don't get the Litsy love for BOTM. Although I'm a librarian so....? #checkthemoutinstead 6y
alisiakae @Reviewsbylola no further accumulation, I bought a year‘s subscription. Oops. 6y
alisiakae @ferskner One of the main reasons I signed up is because my library is currently closed for at least a year for major renovations! I thought this might be a good filler. I usually am a big library user! (edited) 6y
Ashley_Nicoletto @ferskner I cancelled my BOTM and have been able to check every single one I wanted out from my library. Best decision ever. 6y
ferskner @4thhouseontheleft Oh that's hard! Need any ARCs? I have lots 6y
ferskner @Ashley_Nicoletto woohoo! That's what I like to hear! (I love buying books, of course - I'm just really picky about owning them. More picky than BOTM would allow.) 6y
alisiakae @ferskner At last count, I have at least 200 books in my home library that I haven‘t read yet. 😂 199 after I finish 6y
Flaneurette I‘ve had 2 credits to use and I‘ve skipped every month since March. I just want to use them up so I can quit. I‘m totally with you on the reading taste not matching up! 6y
AmyG I have 1 credit...and I am going to use it up and cancel. I haven‘t read so many of my choices. 6y
Reviewsbylola Oh ok, well that‘s better!! I just used my last credit before my annual subscription ran out. I chose to cancel. My second account though was month to month. I had two credits and then I would accumulate one every month so it was like a mad dash to use up all my credits so I could cancel. If you cancel with any credits remaining, you forfeit those credits. Their CS was less than helpful about this. They told me to just use my remaining credits the 6y
Reviewsbylola Next month and cancel. Which like ok that would be fine except then I get charged for another credit the week before the selection. I pointed that out so they “graciously” agreed to skip a month on my billing so I could use my remaining credits without adding an additional one. I ended up forcing myself to choose two books that month just so I could use the credits and close the account. 6y
Reviewsbylola That‘s when I knew I would be canceling my main account when I could. What‘s sad is a year ago it wasn‘t even a struggle to use credits!! There were months I got all five selections between my multiple accounts. I‘m so over them though. /rant over. 😂😂😂 6y
Laughterhp I cancelled in April after 2 years and it was honestly the best decision I made! I wasn‘t reading the books and I wasn‘t liking the changes they were making. 6y
emilyhaldi This is a total bummer and seems to be a pretty overwhelming response to recent changes made. It's so crazy that a year ago we were struggling to narrow down our picks each month!!! @Reviewsbylola 6y
NovelGirl82 I'm about to cancel mine, as well. I'm just going to save the money to spend on books I've been waiting on & borrow the rest from the library if I want to read them. Between my branches here & having access to Houston's through overdrive, I can normally get my hands on the ones that I want relatively quickly. 6y
JPeterson I had canceled about a year ago, but signed back on when Circe came around. Now I‘m ready to cancel again. It just feels so underwhelming every month. 6y
kspenmoll I cancelled mine shortly after things changed up. 6y
