pickI gave The Paper Palace 4 stars. The writing was strong, and the story—though rooted in everyday life—was compelling. I didn‘t like the main character; her choices felt selfish, and her betrayal of her family was hard to stomach. A painful past doesn‘t excuse hurting others. Still, the book kept me reading, and I found it moving in its own way.
so-soThe first in a series set on Cape Cod, this one had a lot going on…and not all in a good way. Lots of nonessential info that could not even be described as red herrings. I‘d say more, but it may be considered spoilerish. Let‘s just say it‘s confusing. #Xander #CatsOfLitsy
Just finished another wonderful book by one of my favorite authors Richard Russo. Heading to the used book store to see if I can pick up another...probably something I have already read but it never hurts to reread a favorite.
