I love Frankenstein as well as a good retelling! In the near future, reanimation has been regulated, but POTUS (needing a political win) decides to crack down on the “stitchers.” The story is told from the POV of an unnamed paralegal, a stitcher still navigating his new world, under a more hostile political climate.

This was eerily accurate to what‘s going on in the US right now!

This one is trending with all you crazy people reading the Booker Longlist. So I read it first. I quite liked it. I have no idea if it's shortlist material but I hated that one that won last year so what the heck do I know?

This was really good. I love this author. Officially. Read Bunny first, though. Even if this is technically sort of a prequel.

This author tends to cross the line into creepy with her unhinged protagonists. This one is less hard to take somehow. A retired female serial killer who acts like a foolish old lady is weirdly comical. I enjoyed it.

This was a cute book that fanatics of the movie should enjoy. I would compare it to watching an old episode of A&E‘s Biography where they were relatively lightweight stuff. However, it genuinely seems that everyone in the cast and crew got along so well and that filming went down without any major issues to the point there wasn‘t much juice to report. I enjoyed the stories about William Goldman visiting the set and Andre the most!

You gotta love Vera! She‘s such a great character. This one has some heavy subject matter but it‘s handled well.
