And with this book, #booked2022 is complete!

It's a book of poetry, so that's why all my answers are N/A.

#blackcentricimprint

Also does #Grenada for #readingtheamericas2023

BarbaraBB Clever choice! 1y
Librarybelle This sounds very intriguing! 1y
Cinfhen Yay😁 Maybe I‘ll try this for #Grenada - not a huge fan of poetry but….. it looks like it‘s a quick read 👍🏻 1y

Cinfhen Here‘s the link for final quarter drawing https://forms.gle/sMyR1gVJciu1HqkA9
Hope it works🤞🏼

jenniferw88 @Cinfhen thanks for the link, but I don't do it for prizes! And it is a quick read but it would probably help if you have a good knowledge of Shakespeare's plays, as the poems are a take on some of the more famous lines (eg 'to be or not to be' becomes 'tofu or not tofu')! 1y
Cinfhen Ha‼️you know me and classics, Jenny. I **might** try this - we‘ll see how desperate I am for #Grenada 1y
jenniferw88 @Cinfhen I did have this one planned for #grenada, but thought I might as well use this one and get a head start! 1y

It almost took a century to be published, but I am so glad this book is now available in print. It‘s the first non-fiction book I‘ve read that has a first-hand account of the Middle Passage and being enslaved in the American South. Kudos to Hurston for recognizing the importance, and documenting, Cudjo‘s story. The audiobook was extremely well done, and I highly recommend reading in that format!

Trying to come back to participating in the #WeeklyForecast now that the number of books I read in a week is climbing again!

Two of these are for my last 3 remaining #Booked2022 prompts, #blackcentricimprint and #writtenbyajournalist. Shara Wheeler is my fun read for the week.

Librariana I really enjoyed I Kissed Shara Wheeler and I hope you do as well! 😊💜 2y

This is an ambitious memoir. Sellers covers a variety of topics and balances broader concepts with small details. His writing style is engaging, but his narration is only okay. He‘s connected to Civil Rights history, but lives with anxiety. He and his wife just celebrated their twins‘ 3rd bday. But it was touch-and-go for a while.

BarbaraTheBibliophage And I‘ll probably pick a prompt for #nonfictionchallenge2022 but right now I can‘t decide! @Riveted_Reader_Melissa 2y
Cinfhen I have this one but I‘m still not really compelled to listen🎧 #MaybeSomeday 2y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Cinfhen I hear that. My reading goal this year is less challenges and more mood reading. I‘m just not feeling all the planning!! (Of course, I‘m still doing three challenges and finishing up one from 2022 … so we shall see …) 🤪 2y

Cinfhen It‘s a long time until 2023 so I‘m not gonna push myself to rush through challenges 😉plus I‘m listening to this audio for #BlackOwnedPublishingHouse and it‘s really good 2y
BarbaraTheBibliophage @Cinfhen Sounds like a plan!! Enjoy the leisure! 2y
