Autumn in Western NY is unparalleled. This guy agrees we should be taking more #audiowalks than we do! I just started the group read. #scarathlon #teammonstermash

I‘m always intrigued by cults and the different ways that you can be deceived into them. Language, using right words with the promise of better life can do that easily … and the author treated this serious topic - linguistic (in connection to social elements) in understandable way and with wittiness. Very readable, and I little bit scary, if you think about how quickly different aspects of our life can fall into cultish category. #audiowalks

#bookreport

Lots of great books this week. Loved the Patchett, ❤️❤️❤️, The Paris Apartment was twisty-turny, Ghosts of Spain fascinating and The Maid just OK.

Primates is ongoing and a lot of fun. Finally managed to listen to some more of The Sentence yesterday whilst making a giant lasagne, but still can‘t go out for my usual long #audiowalks due to remnants of the lurgy I‘ve had for 3 weeks now. 🙄

Cinfhen Sorry you‘re still under the weather, but hurray for all the books you did manage to finish 🙌🏻 1y
TrishB A good week despite that. Take care ❤️ 1y
Megabooks Sorry you‘re still not feeling well. I bet the lasagna was good though! 1y
squirrelbrain Most of it went into the freezer @Megabooks but it was lovely - half meat, half butternut squash 😋 1y

Margaret, Duchess of Argyll was a very spoiled child and she remained like that as an adult woman. I don't know why I don‘t like the book, because it's well-researched and it offers a rather interesting view of society before and after Second World War and the life of people who cares only about social status. Margaret did have scandalous life, but that isn‘t enough for good book. #audiowalks

Cinfhen Boo 😒 sometimes even a well researched book can‘t save it from a “terrible” subject 😉 1y

Becky is a boring, shy young lady and she works as a town‘s treasurer/controller, but as Reba she is having more glamorous life - as a wealthy, successful art collector. I was expecting some thrilled twists about her double life, more complex situations from the art world, but there were none … Good premise, but not so good execution. I was intrigued by the story just enough that I finished it. #audiowalks

rockpools Oh that‘s disappointing- was about to stack from your first sentence. Hope the next one‘s better! 1y
Simona @rockpools I‘m sure that the next one will be better 🤞 1y
UwannaPublishme Love your audio walking path! 😍 1y

Just finished a book about an hour ago, so picked another one out of my lucky dip jar, and this is next so it‘s my #weeklyforecast for the week. I‘m very much looking forward to it, Victoria @Birdsong28

I‘ll also continue with Apples Never Fall on audio. I *might* finish it this week, depending on how much work I have on and how many #audiowalks I get to do. If I do finish it then I‘ll move onto the Gucci audio, recommended by you Cindy!

TrishB Have a good week Helen 👍🏻 2y
Cinfhen Ohhh, im curious to hear your thoughts on this one, when u get to it 2y
Cupcake12 I loved this book! It‘s being turned into a movie as well. Hope you like it as much as me xx Enjoy xx 2y

Well, I‘ve found a new series. Gethsemane Brown is a great character, and I love her interactions with the ghost in her house and with the villagers. I saw a bunny on my evening walk. #audiowalks

wanderinglynn My Oct goals: bookspin bingo, walk 3 mi a day, 10k steps a day, log food, write in journal every day. (edited) 2y
julesG It's the end of September already?! Well, my goals for October: more #audiowalks, log my water (again), try to do yoga every day, and read all the books and then some. 2y
wanderinglynn @julesG right? Where has this year gone?! Great goals for Oct! 🙌🏻 2y
stonedbookworm oooo I wanna join! My goals for October are: to start exercising at least 2-4 times a week, up my daily water intake. and book wise, maybe read 5 books? 2y
Allylu Hello! I love this challenge. According to my diet, I can‘t do any cardio because it will throw me out of ketosis, but I can take leisurely walks with my husband which I plan to do. I have lost 13.7 lbs. as of yesterday! I‘m a fat-burning machine! LOL My goal is to keep following my diet and walk occasionally, and read at least 10 books by the 21st. I feel really good. 😊 2y
BookishBelle Hey, I‘ve been MIA on my BFC goals this year. Haven‘t done very well on them except meditating most nights and portion control. So, I‘m recommitting: 3 no sweets days a week, 7,000 steps a day most days with a few days of more steps a week, and two strength training days a week. For books: read my devotional most nights and finish The Drawing of the Three as one of my 3 books this month. Great goals @wanderinglynn ! 2y
wanderinglynn @stonedbookworm Welcome to #BFC! Great goals! 🙌🏻🎃🧡 2y
wanderinglynn @Allylu I‘m so glad to hear you love #BFC! And way to go! 🙌🏻 You‘re making fantastic progress. 🙌🏻🎃🧡 Keep up the great work! 2y
wanderinglynn @BookishBelle Welcome back! Life happens sometimes. The important thing is you‘re starting now. Great goals! 🙌🏻🎃🧡 2y
Roary47 I‘m going to continue my self-care for my face washing. I drop the ball by the end of the month. I‘m going to start bike riding again now that it‘s cooled down (sort of). Walk 9k and read most of my books (more than half) of my book spin TBR. 😊💛 2y
wanderinglynn @Roary47 fantastic goals! 🙌🏻🧡🎃 2y
Lucy_Anywhere Gyms are finally reopening here after more than a year!!! So excited to get back into the routine of going to the gym as it turns out I am rubbish at working out at home 😂 and it‘s far too hot and humid to do any exercise outside 2y
wanderinglynn @Lucy_Anywhere yay! It is hard to workout at home. I struggle with that too. 2y
PerksOfBeingABookworm I got so busy in September, I forgot to post goals. I‘ll try again. Fitness goal is to drink more water each day, at least two glasses. Totally backslid on that goal. For the book goal, finish reading the two books I‘m in now, read one BOTM, and the last 3 books I got for Christmas and haven‘t read yet 🙈 2y
Clwojick Yes! I‘ve been waiting for this! I just got a fancy new treadmill with an iFit membership, so I‘m ready for this! I‘ll write out my goals today or tomorrow 😊 Thanks for the tag! 2y
wanderinglynn @PerksOfBeingABookworm life happens. The important thing is you‘re starting now! Great goals! 🙌🏻🧡🎃 2y
wanderinglynn @Clwojick yay! 🙌🏻 2y
OriginalCyn620 Your October goals are great! You got this! 💪🏻 Unfortunately, my September didn‘t go as well as I had hoped - a slight medical thing happened and threw me off my exercise game. The only goals I did accomplish were my book and meditation goals, but at least that‘s something! Will think about my October goals and post later. 😉 2y
wanderinglynn @OriginalCyn620 thanks! And I hope your medical thing has resolved. 💚Hitting your book + meditation goals is awesome! 🙌🏻🧡🎉 2y
ATB I‘d like to start this challenge foe the first time. Looks great! 2y
Bookwormjillk September was good. I finally saw a doctor and started PT for my shoulder. In October I want to keep walking even though it‘s dark, eat a minimal amount of Halloween candy, and finally, finally get a blackout on #BookspinBingo. I have been coming so close! Thanks @wanderinglynn (edited) 2y
wanderinglynn @ATB Welcome! #BFC21 is a fun, low key challenge. You set your own goals & aim to work on them at least 21 days. And if life happens or if a goal isn‘t working for you, then adapt it. There is no failure in BFC. ☺️ Let me know if you have any questions. We‘re happy to have you join us! 2y
wanderinglynn @Bookwormjillk yay! 🎉 Great goals! You got this! 🙌🏻🎃🧡 2y
ATB @wanderinglynn thank you… I look forward to it. 2y
maich I didn't participate in last 2 or 3 months. Summer was a little busy and started working again in September. I would love to join again in October. 2y
wanderinglynn @maich this is an open, low-key challenge. You join when you can. ☺️ 2y
NikkiM5 I plan to participate this month ❤️ 2y
wanderinglynn @NikkiM5 yay! 🧡🎃 2y
Crazeedi I'm here, for sure, I'll be catching up with everyone as I can 2y
