Thanks to @Karisa for introducing me to this poem. I‘ve read it over and over again this morning and also listened to James Earl Jones read it, plus this 🔥 video: https://youtu.be/AXz1wypzPS8?si=ouyKvgswv07T6CKB
Read it, listen to it, share it. And be in awe that this was written in 1935! Yet here we are. #readingispolitical #overcomingevilempires #antifabookclub

Chrissyreadit wow!! We are a country of very different ideals- built on the backs of people who have been damaged over and over again by the wealthy and elite. I am disgusted by the evil and corruption and anyone who thinks it is acceptable. I am in awe of the resilience and hope of so many marginalized communities. Thank you for sharing this! 2mo

Pickpick

A book explaining what the white house is, like who lives there, what the Oval Office is, and White House traditions. It would be good to build civic knowledge in young grades!

Pickpick

This focuses a lot on schools/education, but also discusses the history and current state of each of the suburbs featured. Lots in this book to be frustrated and upset about.
