4✨This book has been on my TBR forever! It is a retelling from the twelve dancing princesses. I‘m going to be honest I never heard of that German made fairy tale, but I‘ll be reading it soon. 12 princess sisters in this retelling are cursed to dance every night for the Stone King with his 12 sons. Naturally, their kingdom is under a spell where they can‘t help, and any prince that tries does! I love fairy tale retellings so this was awesome! 😍

I instantly thought of this book for dancing. This book has a group of sisters who sneak out to dance the night away at glamorous balls.

When I was young, I loved Faerie Tale Theatre, especially The Twelve Dancing Princesses. I watched it all the time. The tagged book was a decent retelling set in the 1920's.

The pic is me and the hubs dancing our first dance at our wedding.

It was a good book but i wish it were more...3.5 stars

I‘ve been reading too much YA/NA fantasy & romantasy lately, a little goes a long way for me in these genres & this was pretty weak in comparison to my other current reads. But I didn‘t want to DNF just because I was comparing it to Iron Flame 😅
Nothing happens until the last 3rd of the book & suddenly it became terrifying & weird. So it was a long journey to get to the good part, but then I was riveted. I didn‘t care about the romance though

Not my usual choice but this is a fantastic atmospheric gothic retelling of the Grimm fairy tale The Twelve Dancing Princesses.

I loved this book so much! I want to read more from this author because the way she writes a fairytale has my heart bursting. All my childhood fantasies came true in this book and it's the kind of story that all princesses should be read at bedtime. It was beautiful. Filled with sisterly love, courage, strength, magical creatures, and romance.
