Mehso-so

This biography book is a good book because it has many facts and events documented throughout it. I believe it is exciting because it really happened, yet still told in a good and interesting way. The illustrations help make the theme believable and it recognizes various points in Lily's life. It however, is quite short and might not be telling a full story like we would've expected to see from the title and beginning.

This book is fascinating to me and I'm sure older early childhood classrooms could love a book like this. They might of been freshly introduced to the Holocaust or they might just really enjoy good comic/picture books. This book would be fairly easy to read and the illustrations allow them to follow along and not get confused or lost inside the story!

Pickpick

This book about a Packhorse Librarian in 1030s Kentucky felt very visceral and real—I was right there with the main character, who goes through a lot of turmoil for very lame reasons, yet remains a total champ. Due to a rare genetic condition, Cussy Mary has blue skin. One of my faves of the year!
