I‘m sad and hangry today (but it‘s nothing to what I‘ll be later tonight since I‘ve got a colonoscopy tomorrow) so I picked up a book that‘s been on my shelf forever. In fact, there was an unopened card in it from a Secret Santa from an email list serv that hasn‘t existed in decades! That did make me crack a small smile, remembering when I was too young for colonoscopies. 😂

Ruthiella The prep is awful. You have my sympathy! But personally speaking, the actual event is not a big deal and the drugs are awesome. The best nap ever. So I‘m hoping that is the case for you too! 3mo
BookNAround @Ruthiella I have a crap (pun intended) genetic history so this is already my third colonoscopy. You‘re not wrong though; it is the best sleep ever! 3mo
Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks I hope everything goes well!! I‘m the same today from a dental procedure 😫😫 3mo

BookNAround @slategreyskies @LiteraryinLawrence @Jas16 @Ruthiella @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Thanks! It went well and I have a 5 year reprieve, which is all they give people with my genetic history. All in all, as good as can be expected! (edited) 2mo

The Burnout: A Novel | Sophie Kinsella

Pickpick

“I‘ll drop anything for a new Sophie Kinsella. The Burnout is hilarious, sparky and joyful—just the book you need if you‘re desperate for a break. I loved seeing Sasha coming back to herself on the windswept beach at Rilston!”
– Beth O‘Leary, bestselling author of The Flatshare

Started this book for June #BookClub. Borrowed it on #Libby. So far, once we got to the housekeeping part, it got better and in a better flow, even the romance has appeared.

Mehso-so

Rating: 4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫
This was only the 2nd time ive read a book by Sophie Kinsella so i kind of knew what to expect even tho each of her books has a different storyline and this one was no different then what ive read in her Shopoholic Series last year. This one was a cute yet quirky at times story about a woman who has a tumble down stairs in Downtown England then develops Amnesia. The Characters were fun and interesting to read about.
