It‘s somehow been 56 years since the lovely Sharon Tate left this world because of several monsters who don‘t deserve to be mentioned. I still maintain that she is the most beautiful woman I‘ve ever seen. 🩷

An ethereal
doe-eyed beauty with a heart-
stopping smile — she glows.

Side note: the tagged book written by her sister is excellent, a beautiful coffee table book.

TheBookHippie Such a huge loss, all of them… 3w
JenlovesJT47 @TheBookHippie yes, I should have mentioned the other victims who are just as important: Jay, Gibby, Voytek, Steven, Rosemary, Leno ❤️💔❤️ 3w

JenlovesJT47 And baby Paul, most heartbreaking of all 💔 3w
lil1inblue 💔 💔 💔 Such a tragic story. There is a podcast I adore called “You Must Remember This,“ done by Karina Longworth. It's billed as “the secret and/or forgotten history of Hollywood's first century.“ She does a season on these murders. It's a fascinating listen if you're up for it. (The whole podcast is amazing. Highly recommend in general.) https://www.youmustrememberthispodcast.com/ 3w
dabbe I've read HELTER SKELTER more than once and still can't believe the horrors unleashed on these beautiful people. 💔💔💔 3w
JenlovesJT47 @lil1inblue ooh thank you for this! I have not fallen down the podcast rabbit hole yet but this seems like a good place to start ♥️ 3w
JenlovesJT47 @dabbe It‘s sickening! I‘ve written several letters to different California governors when these sickos are up for parole. So disappointed Newsom let Leslie Van Houten go free. Helter Skelter is a tough read but an excellent book. Vince Bugliosi was a hero imo, for figuring out a way to make sure Manson went down with the actual killers. ♥️ 3w
lil1inblue @JenlovesJT47 I think you'll love the podcast. I don't listen to many, but this one is just fantastic. 3w
JenlovesJT47 @lil1inblue I‘m looking at the podcast on Spotify and this is right up my alley! I‘m a huge fan of Old Hollywood. Thanks again! 🤗 3w

jdiehr Have you seen Once Upon a Time in Hollywood? 3w
JenlovesJT47 @jdiehr yes!! I saw it in the theater when it came out. It‘s so good. The ending made me cry 😭 3w
JenlovesJT47 @AnnCrystal yes, that‘s the best way to describe them 🤬😔 3w
julieclair Such a sad sad story. 3w
mrp27 Unfortunately Newsom‘s denial of parole was appealed and she was let free, he didn‘t let her go free. 3w
JenlovesJT47 @mrp27 thank you for telling me, I‘m sorry I misspoke, I was misinformed. ♥️ 3w
mrp27 Not at all. 🤗 I just remembered because I live in Cali and it was constantly on the news and I totally feel the same way. Those bozos should have no chance at parole. Side note, my dad worked in Chino prison at the time they transferred the head bozo and my dad saw him and said just looking at him he could see all the evil, was creepy he told us. 3w
JenlovesJT47 @mrp27 I can just imagine! He gave me the extreme creeps. I lived in Cali for 2 years during college. I used to keep closer tabs on all the parole stuff and was writing letters to the parole board as far back as when Arnie was governor. I still can‘t believe they‘d let any of them out but at least Manson is gone now. The whole thing makes me sick and I feel so bad for all the families who have to go through that crap every few years. I don‘t ⬇️ 3w
JenlovesJT47 Believe they‘ll release any of the others, especially Tex. I think it‘s ludicrous they have the chance for parole since they initially got the death penalty but what can ya do. 😌 3w

Pickpick

I‘m a California girl and a childhood friend of mine, older brother was a guard at San Quentin and for a short time he guarded Charles Manson before he was later moved to another prison. Rarely are the victims the soul focus of a documentary when speaking of the Manson murders. This book is basically a biography of this beautiful woman‘s life and sadly a documentation of how it ended. #truecrime #nonfiction #sharontate

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood | Quentin Tarantino

Pickpick

I might be biased because I‘m a huge fan of Sharon Tate, and I absolutely love the movie Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. I jumped to buy this when I saw QT made a novelization based on the movie. I‘d recommend watching the movie first because there are spoilers in the book and it‘s not told in a linear timeline. But I loved this! There are tons of new and expanded scenes in the book and it really does transport you back to the late 60s. We learn ⬇️

JenlovesJT47 Tons more backstory on Cliff Booth and Rick Dalton. I especially love how much detail it goes into about Rick‘s TV pilot for the fictional western Lancer, and I really wish it were a real show. Overall, if you enjoy the movie then I believe you will like the book. It‘s a great snapshot of the 60s and I love the new bits about Sharon Tate. I wish QT would write more books like this! He even published it straight to a mass market paperback ⬇️ 4y
JenlovesJT47 Reminiscent of the era, including advertisements at the end of the book for books that came out in 1969. 5⭐️ Highly recommended! 4y

jdiehr I just loved this book! And the ads in the back - such a great finishing touch 4y
JenlovesJT47 @jdiehr yes!! I confess I bought the kindle edition the day it came out because I was too impatient to wait for the book in the mail! 😆 But I‘ll definitely be adding the physical book to my collection ASAP. I really wanted the audiobook but the reviews for the narrator were terrible, which is a huge bummer. Maybe they‘ll get a new one some day. ❤️ 4y
TieDyeDude Nice. I didn't realize this was out 4y
