So even though it's #Pulitzer month here, I thought I'd save The Underground Railroad (Fiction, 2017), which I bought last Friday, for February since September is almost over. But it's also the *shortest* of my currently unread Pulitzer books, so…

alexa_d I read The Intuitionist in college, and while the story didn't do it for me, Whitehead was undeniably a great writer with a unique perspective, so it was awesome to hear he won the prize for another vaguely sci-fi story about the deep roots of US racism. 5mo

And THIS is where I first regretted listening to the audiobook at work. The rest is funny, sure, but this had me with both hands clasped to my mouth, shaking so hard trying to keep quiet. #SeptemberTBR #Pulitzer (Fiction, 1981)

LauraJ Hmm...maybe we should start labeling audiobooks nsfw 😹 5mo

I know someone in this book is gay, and it's taking a lot of willpower for me not to just look up on Wikipedia who it is. (I'm pretty sure it's the Mormon guy though. Those longing gazes at the paperboy and references to wartime camaraderie must have been REAL subtle for 1959.) #SeptemberTBR #Pulitzer (Fiction, 1960)

Olive Kitteridge | Elizabeth Strout

I like Olive Kitteridge, but it's not exactly what you'd call a page-turner, so I'm having trouble finishing it. Mostly I just remember that Frances McDormand played her in the miniseries, and she was also in the Good Omens miniseries, and what I'm saying is I'm imagining that Olive Kitteridge is God. #SeptemberTBR #Pulitzer (Fiction, 2009)

Keeping the #CDaudiobook of "This Is How You Lose Her" in the car exclusively for the #audiocommute worked so well, I'm doing it again. This time it's part of my #Pulitzer #SeptemberTBR challenge (Non-Fiction finalist, 1995).

Was able to finish Brida during work, so moving on to the next #audiocommute book. This one's part of my #SeptemberTBR #Pulitzer challenge (Fiction, 2007). #audiobook #RBdigital

Smrloomis For me this was super scary - but maybe that‘s just me. I could imagine this happening in the future 😱 so I was a little freaked out. 6mo
alexa_d @Smrloomis I'm about 2/3rds through it, and it has definitely had me gripping the steering wheel at certain moments! 6mo
Smrloomis @alexa_d I saw the movie and even though I knew what was going to happen, I still got scared in all the same places in the story 🤣 ! 🤷🏻‍♀️ 6mo

I've got 80 million other books going right now, but since this one is the only one on my #Pulitzer (Fiction, 1932) #SeptemberTBR that is also on #KindleUnlimited, I decided to start it just to see if you can still use #Bookly while also reading on your phone. You can!
