Pickpick

Oh my heart.

I spent most of this book just on the verge of tears... happy tears and sad tears. Such a sweet, slow little book. I adore Addie and Louis, but Gene makes me borderline homicidal. I loved Plainsong by Haruf, and this one resonated with me just as much. The end nearly killed me. The narration on audio was perfect.

This was my choice for #Booked2018 for #MainCharacterOver70YearsOld. ❤️

BarbaraTheBibliophage Great review of a great book! 5y
jdiehr Just put the audio on hold 😊 5y
Lizpixie This broke my heart too. My nan was put in the same situation as the ending, years ago she had the opportunity to remarry a few years after my pop passed away, but my awful aunts & chucked a fit until she broke it off. Coz of that she spent the last 30yrs of her life alone.💔 5y
sprainedbrain @Lizpixie that‘s just terrible! 😞 5y
Blaire Love this book as well as the others that feature this town. 5y

Cinfhen I see @BarbaraTheBibliophage commented but letting @4thhouseontheleft know you‘ve completed this prompt! 5y
sprainedbrain @Cinfhen @BarbaraTheBibliophage @4thhouseontheleft Sorry, ladies—I am really bad at tagging my books read for the challenge as I go. I usually end up just posting the whole season together after I‘ve finished all six books to make up for it. 😳 (edited) 5y
Cinfhen No problem!!! We‘re watching you!!! But we do appreciate a roundup just in case we miss something!! 5y
