pickI finally took the time to finish this for #InDeathLongReadalong …I‘m a bit behind! But, I think this was another great addition to the series. We see a more vulnerable Eve in some ways as she navigates grief and love. We also see a very strong Eve who speaks of walking with the dead. A bit of a sentimental end. #LitsyAToZ #LetterJ
pick#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong book 12.5 Ch.6-10 and review: sorry for the late post. I have the world‘s worst cold right now and even reading is a challenge. I enjoyed this whirlwind novella but I found it a bit too speedy for some bits of info that were divulged - like the fact that Roarke‘s father could have known Eve‘s in Dallas. We‘ll have to spend longer on that tidbit I think. ⬇️

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 12.5: Ch.1-5: this one takes place on Olympus which is a neat change from the norm. At a police conference, a hero cop‘s bodyguard is murdered. This hero cop has it out for Roarke and Eve - since she refused to help take down her husband. But would this cop go so far as murder to get his man? This one has tricky family dynamics- as usual - but this time it‘s Roarke‘s father stepping into the mix. ⬇️

pick#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Ch.15-end: things finally fell into place and connections were made between Yost, the people who hired him, Magda‘s scummy son, and yes, Roarke‘s old friend. It was a sad ending - between this and previous stories, Roarke has lost several of his links to his past. I liked seeing Summerset in his element and seeing his bond with Roarke. I‘m interested to see how things will work out for Peabody and Mcnab. ⬇️
