January 1 #JanuaryJazz Out with the old. I love old houses, they make beautiful photos all year round. This one is still up, and close to it is a brand new barn. Which I try to not include in the photos. @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

The Wood Fire Handbook | Vincent Thurkettle

Pickpick

This is a well-thought-out book about everything you need to know not just about building the perfect fire, but how to split logs and store your wood, and everything else to help guide you to becoming all-knowing on how to keep yourself warm and cosy, and your wood burning as it should in your wood stove, fireplace or campfire.

It's also got plenty of photographs and illustrations to direct you and teach you different methods of fire building.

This is a practical book full of urban homestead projects and an inspiration for us city dwellers.

It's well written with lots of diagrams and it's such an easy read in general due to the layout.

I've been reading these types of books for many years now and there's always something new to learn in each book, so this was worthwhile.

It's always good to brush up on your knowledge anyway and this particular book was fun.

Painting Murals | Patricia Seligman

I haven‘t been posting much, but I‘m going to try to more often. I just started as a school librarian this school year, and it‘s been a lot of work and so fun. The first big change I made was painting a mural on the back wall. It just had a white wall with a book quote before and I wanted to add color. This picture is from back in August. #schoollibrary

I‘ve received my #HHS package! I was cleaning my admittedly messy salon yesterday and I discovered my wonderful husband put it there without me realizing, probably late last week. And my package is finally ready to go. Whew. More updates forthcoming.

wanderinglynn Yay! 🙌🏻🎃🖤 Thank you! 3mo
