readinginthedark This book has been so useful for me! Hope you like it! 7y
AmandaL @readinginthedark It's exactly the book I need! I'm infamous for destroying even the most hardy of plants. I'm hoping this book will help me work around that. 😆 7y
readinginthedark @AmandaL Definitely! Good luck! 7y

@BookishMarginalia You asked me for regular updates on my container garden, but I've been so busy with moving that I forgot. Anyway, here are some updated pictures of our planters. Clockwise from top left: milkweed, grape tomatoes, lavender, herbs and salad greens (rosemary, basil, parsley, thyme, and a couple of spring mixes) The salad greens have run their course because we didn't protect enough from bugs, but everything else is great!

Reading up in preparation for our balcony container garden! There's some really great information in this book! Is anyone else planning/starting their garden now?

BookishMarginalia Please post updates as you go! (I'm agriculturally impaired) 7y
josie281 I'm mentally planning only now due to still being snow out! 7y

readinginthedark @josie281 I'm still only planning right now, too! I wish I had snow! But I did make a list of what I'm planning to plant and then narrow it down to what I can actually fit and handle, so that's progress. 7y
josie281 @readinginthedark I'm in a new zone so I need to adjust my plans for that as well as deer 7y
readinginthedark @josie281 We moved, too! That's why I'm switching to a container garden this year--no in-ground garden here. 7y
