Husband‘s request and I happened to have all the ingredients on hand. Now the fam‘s sweet teeth are all satisfied for the weekend!

This challenge is doing wonders for checking my books before the interwebs. 😊 #Mtcookbook

mabell I wonder if this was the same recipe as their 2023 Recipe of the Year? I made the original and the chocolate version (that was rich!) 2d

Tamra @mabell I don‘t know - but it‘s definitely rich! Half of the volume is the crumb. 😮 2d
mabell Yes! That must be the same! They came out with 10 variations last year, and one was Crumb Lovers - with double the crumb! And we thought the original had too much 😂 A really yummy recipe! I think I‘ll try it again next weekend! 2d
Tamra @mabell go for it! Happy to enable. 😉 My family loves it, but it‘s an easy win because they like sugar. Me, not so much. I‘d prefer a bag of Cheetos.😂 If you don‘t have the book I‘m happy to post a close-up pic of the recipes or email it to you. (edited) 2d
mabell @Tamra That would be great, thank you! I‘m curious to see what the version in the book is like! Would you like to post it in the google doc? Or email it? (purple_3@yahoo.com) Whatever is easiest for you 😊 2d
batsy I'd love both a slice of that cake and Cheetos 😂 2d
Tamra @mabell I keep forgetting about the Google doc! I uploaded a photo to it. Let me know if it doesn‘t appear on your end. 😄 2d

I‘ve watched a lot of Jamie Oliver‘s shows on the Roku channel, so this was cool to read one his cookbooks. I love that he included not just a picture of the finished product for every recipe but also pictures of the process. I know of very few cookbooks that do that. Great for less experienced people. Although, I do think there are recipes that would be challenging for beginners. Lots of nice variety. There are 21 recipes I want to make in here.

The pictured page is the page I‘m most excited about. I love when cookbooks teach you how to create your own recipes, rather than just teaching you how to make theirs. Overall, this book was a #borrownotbuy for me. I loved the snippets of stories included with each recipe. I loved the photos too. However, most of the recipes were too far out of my comfort zone, so there were few I think I‘d actually make. Still, this was a solid book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

1. Nothing exciting for me. My coworker‘s daughter, however, is having her baby this week, so it‘s likely that I‘ll cover one of her shifts so she can be at the birth.
2. The view of the oak tree in my front yard. It‘s a couple weeks into growing its leaves for the season, and it‘s beautiful.
3. I‘m in the US, and it‘s supposed to 83 here today. (28 C)
4. Tagged one of them.

This cookbook is so inspiring! There‘s a great section on pantry items to keep on hand, another section on what tools to consider investing in and then there‘s this page: the author‘s favorite albums to listen to while cooking. On the previous page there is even a QR code that takes you to the author‘s Spotify account, where she makes a playlist for cooking most months. This is such a cool book!

I couldn‘t help making a grid collage of some of the images in this cookbook. The photographer did an amazing job! This cookbook is a joy to flip through! 🥰 #cookbooks #saladlove #salads
