I am currently obsessed with this podcast (on book 2). I love the textual analysis they undertake. Does anyone else listen?

The hosts “bring thought, reflection and laughter to Harry Potter; not just as novels, but as instructive and inspirational texts that will teach us about our own lives. Relive the magic chapter by chapter as they explore themes such as ‘commitment, ‘revenge‘ and ‘forgiveness.‘”

I heard about the book S. in the Books on the Nightstand Podcast. I had to have it immediately. And I still haven‘t read it, because I don‘t know how. ⠀
Any suggestions how to read this book would be welcome. ⠀

Sarah83 I really loved the book 😍😍😍😍 6y
Sarah83 I read it two years ago. I always read always the whole page and than the marginalia... 6y
Redwritinghood I took all the inserts out and put sticky notes on them to indicate where they were in the text. I read the book first then went back and read all the notes in the text along with the inserts. (edited) 6y
wordslinger42 I read the page and then the margins/inserts. I think no matter how you read it, though, it's just one of those books that needs to be read more than once to really understand it 6y
wordslinger42 It was a really fantastic story!! 6y

Unlike audiobooks, I actually listen to lots of podcasts. I work at a computer so podcasts get me through the day! Some bookish podcasts I am into are: Overdue, Annotated, The Thread, and But That‘s Another Story. Revisionist History often has literature/education adjacent episodes as well. The pictured one had a great episode on the history of the English language, discussing Beowulf, Canterbury Tales, and Shakespeare.

LectricSheep Sounds fascinating! I‘m going to listen to an episode! 6y

Need 2 posts to cover today's riotgrams! I listen to a ton of book related podcasts, but I've only included 7 here. And I know, Extra Credit technically isn't about books, but it's about knowledge/learning, so in my mind it still counts #riotgrams #dayfourteen #podcasts #bookpodcasts
