This #read launched my departure from litfic only books into the wider world of intellectually messy pulp. After this came Sidney Sheldon, which I also loved. Too damselly for some, this book remains one of my favorite guilty pleasures. Not for those who prefer man-bashing combat queens for heroines.

This was SUCH A DELIGHT. Alyssa Cole is the queen of romance. I didn't want Portia and Tav's story to end, it was over too soon. I'm psyched for the next book (A Prince On Paper, in 2019) and can't wait to see the amazing cover. These covers are the best. Look at that silver fox! Look at Portia's curls and that awesome dress! I could fangirl all day. ⚔💖⚔

One of my oldest favorites. This was my first Austen, given to me by a youth leader from my church. It‘s covered in notes and without a cover because it lived in my purse for a year. This contains some of my favorite romantic scenes, including my favorite villain (if you can call him that). Oh, Mr. Collins, how much I love to see Elizabeth reject you. Every time.
