Almost done with the audiobook version of this. It's super super interesting. 😊 Love the closer look at Batman and his iconic rogue gallery so far

🤩🪄🦇💖.
When I tried to pinch out a napkin from a dispenser, it tore and released only a little trim.
I tried again and only manage to tear off a larger piece. About to huff at the dispenser, I caught a glimpse of the larger torn piece of napkin in my hand.
Is it wacky me? Or is that the Batman symbol!

The fact that Gotham has seemingly seeped into reality has truly rocked my psyche.
Still love my Batman, but crazy Gotham has had me avoiding my favorite superhero for months now.
Truthfully, for a Batman fanatic, I don't really have that many Batman books/movies on my shelves...👀🤷🏽....yet when I do read/watch Batman, I soak up scenes like fuel. I delight that I can anticipate Bruce Wayne's/Batman's choices and moves beforehand...

Meh. Various teamups, a few quips, various villains I don't know very well or am not very interested in.
Jimmy Olsen as Elastic Man and Batgirl, as well as Green Arrow and Green Lantern were team ups with fun potential, but neither story was long enough.
Here's hoping next installment in this series is as good as previous ones!

Oh, Jimmy, temporary super powers do not make you suave. 🤦🏼♂️😏

Just a little trash-talking the green lanterns. 💚

Years after the heroes of the Justice League retire, a new generation of powered people quarrel and fight each other, making life for civilians dangerous. This book is the antithesis of the film MAN OF STEEL. It answers the question ‘Why do we need Superman?‘ We need him to be the role model for the concept of ‘superhero‘. Otherwise, we live amongst fascist Gods ruling over us mortal peons. His most valuable power is always doing what‘s right.
One of the biggest complaints about Batman is he could do more good with Bruce Wayne‘s money than as a masked vigilante, beating up impoverished muggers. Without getting into the responses to this (cause honestly for me BM is just a pathway to the larger bat family) Absolute Batman just makes Batman lower middle class. Batman‘s grief and rage, as an adult and child, are well done. His mother is a revelation.
