As some of you have learned about me, I am a “little“ obsessed with Batman...😂, I know, more like a little, overly, obsessed with Batman.

And this remains my absolute favorite story about my favorite superhero.

The first “reread“ of a book without a single, pretty illustration 🤔, and I loved just the same as I had the first time reading this book. 👇

AnnCrystal Some of this feels “reported,“ yet it seemed to fit the flow of the story.

An origin story that perfectly wraps the beginnings of Bruce Wayne's character and his making of Batman.

Wish I had kept a book journal when I was younger...read how my younger self felt about some of my gold star reads. I've only devotedly began one since becoming a Litten 😉👍.

This one keeps all of the Gold 🤩 Stars I originally gave. Excellent!

TieDyeDude I'm surprised superhero prose novels aren't more of a thing. When I was younger, I remember reading the novelization of No Man's Land and I really enjoying The Stone King JLA novel. 1mo
AnnCrystal 👏☺️👍.@TieDyeDude I always wondered the same thing. Seems strange when it could be an interesting way to intrigue young readers into reading more complex stories...📚😉👍. 1mo

#ThinkPositiveBePositive.

Bruce Wayne: “I thought I could help Gotham, but I've failed.“

Alfred Pennyworth: “And why do we fall, sir? So that we might better learn to pick ourselves up.“

TieDyeDude Sir Michael Caine was an excellent Alfred! 1mo
AnnCrystal @TieDyeDude 👏 excellent indeed ☺️👍. Caine was true to the character, and among my favorites to play Alfred. (edited) 1mo

Pickpick

The spontaneous marathon is complete! Just got a good momentum, and realized I really wanted to know how everything ended. The answer is: the only way it could. After everything that's happened, all the loss and mistakes, tying off some loose ends means acknowledging things won't ever be the way they were. 1/?

Robotswithpersonality 2/? Redemption and reconciliation are very much still question marks for a number of characters but the idea that peace, getting people to the table to talk is hard thing, really resonates right now, maybe its one of those perennial truths that we keep having to learn the painful way. 2mo
Robotswithpersonality 3/3 Blue Beetle and Booster; Harley with her olive branch (tree); the moment with Bruce and Clark; Lobo's Lantern 'creations'; there were a number of memorable highlights in this final volume. But boy oh boy am I glad it's not the main continuity! I think it's time for a cheerful Superman comic. 😅 2mo

Wow, that went by really fast. Definitely has its share of dark moments, seemed to be almost entirely fight scenes and planning to fight scenes. Highlights were Hal Jordan's hallucinated 'Jiminy Cricket', and Javelin joy ride complete with alarm saga. ⚠️Animal death

“Starro the Conqueror.“
You named the evil galaxy-eating space star fish STARRO? You felt it necessary to CREATE an evil galaxy-eating space star fish? I- you know what, why not?!🤷🏼‍♂️

A few classic storylines from O'Neil and Adams featuring Ra's Al Ghul. A mixed bag, but a solid collection.

Found this while going through some paperwork. A doodle I did, Once Upon A Time (I didn't date). Some details were difficult to capture here...apparently boredom struck once I finished with Batman 😂 and I left it unfinished.

Not great work, yet it did make me giggle.

In my culture, good natured comedy is healing-like (Laughter can be a gift in a stressful world). While this is not hilarious, hope some will find this to be giggle worthy 🦇😉💝.

AnnCrystal Have a good weekend Littens ☺️👍. 2mo

From Page ninety-five.

What does it say about me that I always seem to find, Bruce Wayne's logic exhilarating...😂🤔😉.

Power outage at the campground last night due to the wind and the rain. Until it warms up outside or the heat comes back on in the cabin, this is where I‘ll be starting the readathon!
