#BookstoreRomanceDay is almost upon us! This past year, I have barely worked at the bookstore since I run the book clubs online now (and have a full time job in Healthcare), but I get to be there all day Saturday to sell books and celebrate romance (I'll be posting lots of pictures). Is your local Indie doing anything to celebrate? We have an online aspect too, but we'll have an outdoor photo booth set up to help with social distancing.
The carrier pigeon has arrived! Got my next set of #tailoredbookrecommendations today, and I‘m looking forward to these. A little concerned about the miserable Litsy rating on the tagged book, but it is one of the books I bought on #bookstoreromanceday a few weeks ago. A.J. Fikry has been on my radar for a while, and this could be just the push I need to finally read it. Elif Shafak is new to me, but the book looks good. Fingers crossed!
#BookstoreRomanceDay was fantastic! #CavalierHouseBooks had kittens and books and Fabio to celebrate, and I had a lovely time petting kitties and hanging out with my favorite booksellers (including @everlocalwest )! I also snagged a couple of romances today to hopefully help me out of my yearlong book slump!
