The Last Mrs. Parrish | Liv Constantine

Pickpick

I should be doing some housework while my kids are in school, but I wanted to enjoy the warmer weather and, more importantly, finish this book. It is compulsively readable. I found myself carrying it around with me just in case I found a few extra minutes to read. I‘ve been burnt out with thrillers but something about this was special. It reminds me of Gone Girl and The Wife Between Us. #pop18 #2authors #LMPBC #groupS

MeganAnnabell I read this one a while ago and really enjoyed it! I‘ve found myself being burnt out with thrillers also! Glad I‘m not the only one 6y
Jess7 Wow! I had heard really bad reviews for it! So seeing this review is refreshing! @MinDea 6y
Reviewsbylola I noticed a lot of poor reviews too. I think if you don‘t mind reading about vile people, it‘s a good read. @jess7 6y

Reviewsbylola I‘ve been staying away from them recently, so I would have never picked this one up on my own! @MeganAnnabell 6y
Cinfhen I‘ll keep my expectations in check but I‘m glad it was a pick for you!! 6y
Jess7 I don‘t mind unlikeable characters so long as they‘re complex. Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn is on my favorite books and most all of the characters in it are vile, flawed, and creepy. 🤗🤗 I own the ebook of this but I put it off based on other reviews.. going to have to reconsider it. Thanks for sharing! @JoScho have you read this one yet? 6y
Reviewsbylola I love Gillian Flynn too! @jess7 6y
JoScho @Jess7 I have not read this one yet. I agree with you I saw some reviews that made me hesitant. 6y
Jemgirl2014 ❤ that book! 6y
JennyM I was one of the non-fans of this book. The characters were horrible, and the constant mention of physical appearance, particularly weight, had me cranky by the end. In that sense, I think the authors did a great job in creating vile characters. 6y
Reviewsbylola I can understand that. Their lives all seemed utterly miserable. @jennym 6y
Mdargusch I can‘t wait! 6y
emilyhaldi I loved The Wife Between us... But still swearing off thrillers 🙅🏻‍♀️ 6y
Lidia I'm so glad you liked it! And it did remind me of Gone Girl. 6y
Librosycafe I have the same pens 6y

I‘m loving both Sci-fi books I‘m reading now, but need a bit of a lighter break, and this just came in at the library! Is it bad that already it makes me want to open a dance/fitness studio and smoothie bar?
