This ended up being more interesting than I had originally imagined it would be. I am not sure that Thomas Kell would surpass Smiley, but he is certainly worthy to share shelf space. The story moves along quickly and it isn't *too* easy for the good guys to succeed. I'll read the next book in the series.

Picked this from a friends home library in France. Spy thriller by an author who has used tradecraft. Like Rebus as a defunct spy chasing around Europe and Africa.

Packing for our trip to Wales. We are spending a couple of days in Hay-on-Wye, so I had to make sure to pack books that I can leave in our rental accommodations or maybe trade in at one of the bookstores.

And yes the books are the first thing to be packed 😜 Priorities!

Sarah83 Really great idea. So many little cozy bookshops. I really liked it there. Unfortunately I didn't make it to the cinema bookshop, because I only had two hours to look there. If you get there, please take a pic and definitely visit Richard Booth's bookshop. 😍 7y

A fast paced spy thriller, the new head of MI6 has gone missing and disgraced former Agent Thomas Kell has been tasked with finding her. I really enjoyed it, fast-paced and interesting, looking forward to reading more from the series
