⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It's been awhile since something has grabbed my attention so I went back to ole faithful. My lovely free bookbub downloads of sultry, sexy stories. Didn't take but a minute for me to be hooked and this book was fantastic! Shane is that dreamy, military boy and Josie doesn't make you want to claw your eyes out (win!). I'll follow this storyline through the series which says a lot of this little freebie.

Wow. I didn't expect to like this book as much as I did. I don't usually go in for soldiers or paranormal. Although, to be fair, I wouldn't exactly classify this as paranormal. More like paranormal-light, maybe? Or, maybe lab lit (books with just-slightly-out-of-reach science in them). Well, whatever you want to call it, it was excellent! I can't wait to pick up book #2 and see what happens to the other brothers.

Both of these have passed the 50 page test, so I'll likely finish them. Most books I pick up will either be Picks or Bails. I rarely finish books I'd call So-so or that I'd Pan. Too many good books out there to waste time on something I'm not enjoying!

This one's passed the 25 page test. Can it make it to 50?

Rebecca Zanetti - Forgotten Sins *** 1/2

Definitely enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Even if the plot truly borders on insanity most of the time. The amount of times someone gets shot or kidnapped are off the charts! But I was intrigued by the story, loved the H/h and I just might read book two.

ParagraphsandPetticoats I have only ever read her books as part of the Rising Storm series -not her own stories if that makes sense - but I enjoyed her writing style. 8y

About halfway through 'Forgotten Sins' . I'm so on the fence about it. All the romantic suspense stuff I find annoying is there, and yet I'm kinda excited to read what happens next. It's an odd sensation.

The characters had sex, they didn't metaphor their way through the act!!! We have all read that one romance in which the author seems to not be able to write the act out. They use so many metaphors i.e shooting stars, that it ends up taking away from the act itself. Zanneti hasn't opened up a Thesaurus to try and see how many big words she can fit into one romance scene.
Super Spy Soldier Hotties!!!!!!!
I'll give this book a solid 8.5 out of 10

Mehso-so

I got this book over the weekend at the Rock Chick Rendezvous I went to in Seattle. It was an interesting romantic suspense that had a kind of twist with genetically enhanced soldiers. The prologue got me hooked but I did find myself rolling my eyes at some parts of the story. This story was action packed and kept me interested.
