tpixie @Cortg just found another book in the Quarter- Dauphine Street Books is on Dauphine just a little east of Conti St It opens at 11:00- so it was closed- I‘ll check out later! . It has new and used books. 6y

tpixie @Cortg I think The Gumbo Shop 630 St Peter has the best seafood gumbo so far! Mr B‘s Bistro‘s was good too. I like the darker colored gumbo. New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood had great catfish 541 Decatur St. 😊 6y

Cortg Yum! I‘ll have to round everyone up this weekend and nail down the trip. It‘s been a long time since I‘ve been to New Orleans, like before Katrina. 6y

One of my favorite #mapsinbooks is of Faulkner's Yoknapatawpha County, a fictionalized version of Oxford, Mississippi, where many of Faulkner's works take place. This is a digitization of the one Faulkner drew for The Portable Faulkner, published in 1946. #somethingforsept
