This was always one of my favorite books growing up. It was my first taste of historical fiction, and I‘ve been hooked ever since! I‘ve read this at least 10 times but it‘s been quite awhile. It holds up well for nostalgia‘s sake. Of course, there are a few plot holes, but this is Sweet Valley after all! 5⭐️

KerriNTurner I had no idea Sweet Valley had a historical spin off! 6y
JenlovesJT47 @KerriNTurner yeah they have this one and 3 other sagas. Pretty cool when you‘re 13! ☺️ 6y
KerriNTurner I wish I‘d known back then, I would‘ve devoured them! 😁 6y

Does it make me weird that I‘m super excited I finally got to the point in my SVH read-through where I get to read the first saga? I absolutely loved this book growing up and I‘ve read it so many times, but it‘s been awhile. #booknerd 🤓

JenlovesJT47 @OceanCityMama thanks! Lol I actually have two copies of this!! I came across it at the used bookstore about a month ago and just couldn‘t resist getting another copy! 😳 lol I might have a problem! 😬 6y
Ajessgirl Loooooved the saga books! Putting these on my re-read list! 6y
JenlovesJT47 @Oryx that‘s awesome! I‘m still trying to collect the whole series, but you can read them on kindle unlimited and openlibrary.org - and may I suggest checking out snarkvalley.wordpress.com - the last post is of my collection. The girl who runs the blog is so hilarious! 😅 I like to read the book then go straight to her blog and read the recaps. She had me laughing so hard I had tears rolling down my face last night! 😂😂😂 6y
OceanCityMama Omg, what good luck! No SVH booknerd would have passed that up, that‘s a gift! Haha! 6y
JenlovesJT47 @Ajessgirl all of the saga books are really good in my opinion. I really think they highly contributed to my extreme interest in genealogy! 6y
CoverToCoverGirl ❤️😎 6y
ReadingMeagan I love the Saga books! It is funny they were always my favourites and now I love historical fiction and watching Who Do You Think You Are? I‘m a total history nerd (real or fictional!) 6y
Oryx @JenlovesJT47 Thanks, will check that out! 6y
JenlovesJT47 @ReadingMeagan me too! I totally credit this series with my love for reading. I also love historical fiction and these were my first experiences with it. 💜 6y

Childhood favorites I just can‘t part with. I was a huge Sweet Valley High fan but these family sagas are the only ones I kept, even through multiple military moves. #24in48

Day 25 of #jubilantjuly - Call me a total nerd (I freely admit it! 🙋🏻🤓), but the first thing that popped into my head for #saga was all of these great Sweet Valley sagas that I absolutely adored when I was growing up. I've read the first two probably 10 times each! And I actually learned a bit of history with it. Unapologetically a Sweet Valley nerd for life! Can't wait to get to these during my re-read of the series. #SVH #sweetvalley #twins

Ruri_kaichou Oh man! I totally forgot these existed! Thanks for the nostalgia! 7y
Little_Reader I would love a reread of these. LOVED them as a kid! 7y
JenlovesJT47 @Little_Reader they have the regular series on kindle unlimited, I've been reading through the entire series for the first time this year and I'm loving it. They also have all of the books including the super editions free to read on openlibrary.org . You can read them in the browser on your phone. Yes I am a little obsessed lol. Total nerd here 🙋🏻🤓 7y

JenlovesJT47 @Ruri_kaichou no problem, these books are awesome! I totally credit them for my love of reading, I was obsessed with them growing up 7y
Little_Reader @JenlovesJT47 That's awesome! I'm in the process of collecting all the Babysitters Club books right now. I should start collecting Sweet Valley High, too. 7y
JenlovesJT47 @Little_Reader awesome! 🙌🏻 7y
booksandsympathy I read the top two sagas. I didn't know the bottom two existed. I loved these books so much. 7y
JenlovesJT47 @booksandsympathy the top two are my faves, especially the one on the left. The Fowlers saga is actually pretty good, it is set a lot in France, so it exposed me to a little bit of history when I was younger! 😄I really can't wait to re-read these again! 7y

Happy Thursday!

Sort of...It's supposed to be the most hot and humid day of the week. I feel gross just thinking about it.

Speaking of school, an elementary teacher of mine told my parents how great it was that I read so many books but suggested they help me branch out. I've always loved reading and Sweet Valley books were my life back then!

Happy International Literacy Day!
