so-soThe Devil You Know is the third novel in the Detective Margaret Nolan series, and I would not recommend reading this novel before reading the previous two. While I could follow a majority of the main story, there were a few side narratives that, not having read the other novels, I did not understand; there are continuing relationships and histories that are further built upon in The Devil You Know. I enjoyed the characters.

3rd one in the Detective Margaret Nolan Series. They investigate a Hollywood Star's death that leads to more investigations. Sam has a decision to make for his future job wise.
I liked this one a lot. There is great character development from the first one. I hope to see some of these characters make future appearances.

pickOK, two books in a row with “Devil” in the title…hmmm, time to move on, I think. 😆 This is number 3 in the Detective Maggie Nolan series and my first to read, and even though I picked it up fairly quickly, I do feel like I would have gained insight into the characters/history by starting at the beginning. Maggie and her partner Al look into not one but FOUR murders within three days of the rich and powerful in the entertainment business in LA. 🔻
